Ochrana spotřebitele je tématem velmi aktuálním a to z mnoha důvodů. Nejen na národní úrovni, ale i na úrovni evropské se spotřebitelé setkávají s četnými problémy a komplikacemi. Tyto komplikace je pak odrazují od další spotřeby, což v současné ekonomické situaci není žádoucí. Proto je přijímána řada opatření a jsou vyvíjeny snahy, aby se spotřebitelská situace na evropském trhu zlepšila. Jednou z těchto snah je i návrh nařízení Evropského parlamentu a Rady o společné evropské právní úpravě prodeje. Další podněty dostává ochrana spotřebitele od spotřebitelských organizací. Vůbec nejdůležitějším impulsem jsou ale iniciativy samotných spotřebitelů, kterých poslední dobou přibývá. Tato práce se věnuje jak činnostem spotřebitelských organizací a iniciativám spotřebitelů, tak snaze Evropské unie o zvýšení transparentnosti evropského trhu pro spotřebitele. Consumer protection is currently widely discused from many points of view. Not only on national level, but on European level the consumers must face various problems and complications as well. This kind of complications discourage them from further consumption, which is not desired in the current economic situation. This is the reason for taking measures and there are attempts to improve the situation on the european market. One of these attempts is a proposal for a regulativ of the European parliament and of the European Council on a Common European Sales Law. Further impulses are given to the consumer protection from consumers organisations. The most important information comes from consumers directly. This thesis is devoted not only to the activity of consumers organisations and to the initiatives of consumers but also to the effort of European Union to increasing transparency of european market for the consumers.
