Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá situací na Chebsku po druhé světové válce v letech 1945-1948. Je zaměřena na poválečnou hospodářskou a sociální situaci oblasti a na volby, které proběhly v letech 1946 a 1948. V první části je přiblížen stav poválečného Československa v letech 1945-1948, nastíněn politický, hospodářský a sociální vývoj po válce, ustanovení Národní fronty Čechů a Slováků, jsou představeny politické strany, které měly právo vytvářet další osudy Třetí republiky. Druhá část představuje chebský kraj ve 20. století a naznačuje, kam se ubíral vývoj Chebska bezprostředně po válce, je zmíněn odsun německého obyvatelstva, následné problémy s osídlením. Třetí část je zaměřena na volby na Chebsku, na jejich průběh, výsledky, na případné kampaně jednotlivých stran, které byly v roce 1946 povolené - komunisté, sociální demokraté, národní socialisté a lidovci. Kapitola se zabývá také volbami 1948 v souvislosti s únorovým převratem. This thesis deals with the situation in the Cheb region after World War II. from 1945-1948. It is focused on the post-war economical and social situation of the region and on the elections in 1946 and 1948. In the first part, the state of post-war Czechoslovakia in 1945-1948 is described, as well as the political, economical and social development after the war, and the establishment of the National Front of the Czechs and Slovaks. The political parties, which had the right to shape the future of the Third Republic, are introduced. The second part introduces the Cheb region in the 20 th century and describes the Cheb region´s development just after the war. Then the transfer of the German population and ensuing problems with settlement are mentioned. The third part is focused on the elections in the Cheb region, on their process, results, on the campaigns (if they had any) of the political parties, which were legal in 1946: the communists, social democrats, national socialists and the "People´s Party" ("lidovci" in Czech). The chapter also deals with the elections in 1948 in the connection with the Czech coup in February 1948 ("the 1948 Czechoslovak coup d'état").
