Diplomová práce se zabývá geografickým výzkumem periferního regionu Kaplice se zaměřením na sociální kapitál. Správní obvod obce s pověřeným obecním úřadem Kaplice se nachází v jižní části Jihočeského kraje v okrese Český Krumlov. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí. Teoretická část diplomové práce se v několika kapitolách věnuje pojmům sociální kapitál, periferie a základní geografické charakteristice sledovaného území. Navazující praktická část diplomové práce se zabývá již konkrétním výzkumem, který je složen z analýzy sekundárních dat a dotazníkového šetření. Veškerá získaná data jsou zpracována a prezentována ve formě tabulek a grafů s následným zhodnocením a srovnáním výsledků s již uskutečněnými obdobnými výzkumy. This diploma thesis deals with a geographical research of the peripheral region of Kaplice with the orientation on social capital. The administrative district of municipality is located in the southern part of South Bohemia in the district of Český Krumlov. The diploma thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part concentrates on the terms like social capital, periphery and on the basic geographical characteristic of the monitored area. The subsequent practical part deals with the specific research that consists of the analysis of secondary data and survey. All acquired data are processed and presented in the form of tables and graphs with following evaluation and comparison of results with other similar researches.
