Abstract: This bachelor thesis analysis Jacques Tati's masterpiece Playtime. It is searching, exploring and identifying its artistic instruments, technique and whole style that creates Tati's universe. It describes how elements function, how they are connected and how they interact with each other. All this thesis are demonstrated on examples and illustrations. There are numbers of quotations of great film director (Robert Bresson, Andrej Tarkovskij) whose thoughts are closely connected to Jacques Tati's work.
