Ve své práci se chci pokusit prozkoumat roli webových kampaní 'povědomí o nemoci' při distribuci psychiatrického/psychologického étosu a jeho využívání při výkladu určitých oblastí chování, emocionálních stavů a sociálních fenoménů. Mé podklady budou zahrnovat i seznam demonstrativních videí nashromážděných na různých svépomocných webových stránkách, jež budu analyzovat za účelem prokázání signifikantních audiovizuálních rysů a přesvědčovacích technik v těchto kampaních obsažených. In my study I would like to examine the role of 'disease awareness' campaigns on the web in distributing the psychiatric/psychological ethos and applying it to explain a range of behaviors, emotional states and social phenomena. My data will include a body of explanatory videos collected from different self-help websites, which will be analyzed in order to point at salient audiovisual features and persuasion techniques in these campaigns.
