Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem současné finanční krize, především pak rozborem jednotlivých důsledků selhání regulace finančních trhů a dokazuje, že k selhání regulatorních orgánů prokazatelně došlo. Mezi samotné důsledky patří sekuritizace aktiv, selhání ratingových agentur, výskyt informační asymetrie, nepoctivých praktik či záporných externalit a v neposlední řadě také institucionální nedokonalost finančních trhů. Dále se práce věnuje analýze krachu významné investiční banky Lehman Brothers. Závěrečná část je pak věnována budoucnosti regulace finančních trhů a rozbor připravované reformy jak v USA, tak na poli Evropské unie. Diploma thesis is dealing with causes of current financial crisis, especially with financial regulation failure and its analysis. Regulation failure was incontrovertibly the important cause of current crisis. As a result of regulation failure we can identify these as follows: asset securitization,rating agencies failure, information asymmetry,negative externalities etc. This thesis is also concerned with analysis of bankruptcy of american investment bank Lehman Brothers. The last part of work examine the financial regulatory reform.
