Byla provedena rešerše týkající se energetických zdrojů dneška. Byly posouzeny výhody i nevýhody využití různých druhů rychle rostoucích bylin i dřevin z hlediska náročnosti na stanoviště a množství biomasy. Byly určeny indikátory antropogenního ovlivnění jednotlivých kultur s využitím bezobratlých živočichů. Jako perspektivní bioindikátory se ukázaly druhy a společenstva epigeických brouků. Celkově bylo zjištěno, že největší biomasy dosahuje klon vrby S-705 (15 t sušiny ha/rok v prvním obmýtí) a z bylin invazní křídlatka sachalinská (až 60 t sušiny ha/rok). Nejméně náročná na pěstování je lebeda rozkladitá a merlík bílý. A research regarding the today´s energy sources has been conducted. Different kinds of fast growing herbs and timber were evaluated, considering their advantages and disadvantages, respectively, in terms of their habitat and the volume of biomass. The indicators of anthropogenic influence over particular cultures were defined with the help of invertebrate animals. Epigeic beetles were indicated as perspective indicators of human impact. As a result of the study, it appears that the biggest volume of biomass can be found in a willow clone S ? 705 (15 tons of dry matter ha/year in the first rotation period) and speaking of herbs, that is in invasive Giant Knotweed (60 tons of dry matter ha/year). The least demanding, in terms of growing, are Spear Saltbush and goosefoot.
