Diplomová práce se soustřeďuje na výskyt sociálních témat ve zpravodajských reportážích, odvysílaných regionálními televizemi působícími v Jihočeském kraji v letech 2009 ? 2012. Za užití smíšeného výzkumu byl nejdříve zkoumán počet a obsah reportáží (kvantitativní část šetření), které souvisí se sociální oblastí. Počtem těchto reportáží výzkum vymezuje jejich poměr k ostatním tématům. Analýza obsahu potom zkoumá, která témata sociální práce jsou mediálně upřednostňovaná. Informace následně posloužili jako podklad pro rozhovor s šéfredaktorkami zkoumaných televizí (kvalitativní část šetření). Respondentky ve svých výpovědích objasní profesní chod televizí a stejně tak i kritéria, podle jakých jsou témata pro reportáže vybírány. Vedle postojů šéfredaktorek vůči prezentaci sociální práce v médiích zveřejňují rozhovory také faktorky, které tuto prezentaci mohou podpořit a naopak i kritéria, jaká mediálnímu zprostředkovávání sociální oblasti brání. V rámci etického rozměru práce se rozhovor soustředí rovněž na to, zda li může osobní přesvědčení redaktora o důležitosti prezentace sociálních témat ovlivnit výskyt této problematiky ve zpravodajství, i navzdory profesním normám a zpravodajským hodnotám, které hovoří spíše proti této prezentaci. Rozhovor tak umožní zjistit, zdali redaktoři nepociťují určité dilema, případně jakou roli hraje jejich svědomí, při upřednostňování buď profesních norem anebo osobních postojů. Podle praktika diplomové práce byla zvolena podoba teoretické části. Ta se v samostatných kapitolách věnuje právě oblastem etiky, sociální práce a médií. Součástí teorie je i kapitola, která se zabývá přímo vztahem sociální práce a médií. Vedle vymezení základních pojmů poskytuje teoretická část i zázemí pro výzkum, prezentuje některé výzkumné soubory, kategorie pro šetření a také argumenty pro formulaci hypotéz. Zjištěné informace byly ve výsledné podobě konfrontovány se zástupci redakcí regionálních televizí, jejichž výpovědi objasňují profesní chod televizí i to, na jakém principu jsou reportáže vybírány. Práce rovněž zveřejňuje postoje těchto redakcí ohledně prezentování sociální práce v médiích. Tomuto vztahu se vedle vymezení základních pojmů a problematik rovněž věnuje i teoretická část práce. This thesis focuses on the incidence of social issues in news reports, broadcasted by regional television stations operating in the South Bohemia Region from 2009 to 2012. Mixed research was used to investigate the number and content of the reports (quantitative part of the research) that are related to the social sphere. The research, according to number of reports, defines their ratio to other topics. Content analysis then examines what topics of social work are preferred by the media. Information subsequently served as the basis for interviews with the editors ? in chief of the surveyed television stations (qualitative part). Respondents in their statements make clear running of television stations and the criteria by which selected topics for coverage are selected, as well. Besides editor ? in chiefs´ attitudes towards the presentation of social work in the media, the interviews publish factors than can promote the presentation and vice versa the criteria that act against mediation of social issues. Within the framework of the ethical dimension of work, the interview also focuses on issue, if an editor´s personal belief, regarding the importance of presentation of social topics, can influence the occurrence of this issue in the news, despite professional standards and values that do not support such kind of presentation. Interview can find out whether editors do not feel a dilemma or what is decisive, in preference to either personal attitudes or professional standards. As a form of the thesis was picked out a form of a theoretical work. This work is, in independent chapters, devoted to just the areas of ethics, social work and media. A chapter that deals with the direct relationship between social work and media forms a theoretical part of the thesis, as well. Besides the definition of basic concepts, theoretical part provides a background for research, presents some research files, categories for investigation and also arguments for the formulation of hypotheses.
