Tématem bakalářské práce je hlubší exkurz do práce brněnského malíře Pavla Hayeka s užším zaměřením na fenomén struktur převládající v jeho dílech. Práce podrobně rozebírá autorova jednotlivá tvůrčí období, která jsou členěna do tří tematických částí. Hlavní část studie zkoumá různé podoby struktur v díle Pavla Hayeka, přičemž autora vystavuje konfrontaci s dalšími umělci. Pojednání se též zabývá exkurzem do podstaty principu repetice a jeho rozdílného využití ve světovém a českém umění. Nejhlubšímu zkoumání je podrobena Haykova tvorba nahodilých a geometrických struktur, jelikož jsou v jeho tvorbě nejmarkantněji zastoupeny. Cílem bakalářské studie je především pojmenování širších předpokladů strukturalistických východisek Hayekových maleb pramenících mimo jiné z neokonstruktivistických tendencí, rozvíjených v českém umění v 60. letech 20. století, s důrazem na osobu Zdeňka Sýkory, jehož výstava v roce 1988 silně ovlivnila uměleckou tvorbu a přístup Pavla Hayeka. Dále je dílo Pavla Hayeka spojováno se specifickou polohou organické abstrakce v souvislosti s ornamentikou a optickým uměním. Text se snaží přiblížit možné zdroje těchto východisek a jejich ojedinělou transformaci do malby Pavla Hayeka. The Bachelor's thesis examines the work of the painter Pavel Hayek, especially the structure phenomenon, which dominates in his paintings. The three thematic parts of this study consist of individual periods of Hayek's work, which are thoroughly analysed. The main part of the thesis examines various forms of structures in Hayek's paintings and compares him with other artists, with a special emphasis placed on the production of random geometric structures, which occur in Hayek's works most noticeably. The Bachelor's thesis also notices the repetition principle and its different use in Czech and international art. The aim of the thesis is defining the wider implications of structuralist background of Hayek's paintings. Its roots can be seen among others in neoconstructivist tendency of Czech art in the 1960's and particularly in the work of Zdeněk Sýkora, whose exhibition in 1988 had a very strong influence on Hayek's work. The thesis also relates his work with a specific form of an organic abstraction in the context of ornamental and optical art. It attempts to describe possible sources of all these influences and their unique transformation in Pavel Hayek's paintings.
