V práci poukazuji na propojení psychoterapie a sociální práce. Nejen psychoterapeuti pracují s klienty, kteří trpí duševními chorobami, i v sociální práci jsou klienti s psychickými problémy. Sociální pracovník si musí umět poradit i s problémy souvisejícími s jejich rodinou. V bakalářské práci jsem se snažila o zodpovězení otázky, zda sociální pracovník může provádět prvky psychoterapie ve své práci. Z výsledků usuzuji, že sociální pracovník může užívat některé prvky psychoterapie ve své práci a že je správné, aby je sociální pracovník používal. Je patrné, že v pomáhajících profesí je sice důležité využívat prvky psychoterapie ale pouze v případě, že má jedinec potřebné vzdělání, dostatečné zkušenosti a osobnostní předpoklady, aby nepoškodil sebe ani klienta. In the thesis I identify the interconnection of psychotherapy and social work. Not only psychotherapists work with clients who suffer from mental illnesses, but also in the social work there are clients with psychic problems. Social worker has to be able to cope with problems even related to the clients? family. In this bachelor thesis I have endeavored to respond the question whether social workers can conduct elements of psychotherapy in their work. From the results I judge that it is correct for the social worker to use them. It is apparent that in the helping professions it may be important to use elements of psychotherapy but only in the case when the individual possesses the required education, sufficient experience and personal prerequisites so that they would not harm themselves or the client.
