Abstract: Gillnet size selectivity was reviewed in this study. Gillnetting is selective method of capturing fishes and the aim was to describe the size selectivity of gillnets. The catching process can be influenced by doze of factors. The selectivity of gillnets can be described by statistical models and in this study were compared the most common selectivity curves for common European species.
