Práce se zaměřuje na stinné stránky amerického zdravotnictví a nastavení vládních programů zabezpečujících zdravotní pojištění starým, chudým a dětem. Prostor je věnován i nově zvolenému prezidentovi Baracku Obamovi a jeho přístupu k tématu. V závěru uvádím komparaci zdravotnictví USA a dalších zemí OECD. The bachelor thesis focuses on the negative aspects of the American health care system and the goverment programs ensuring health insurance coverage for the elderly, poor and children. The president-elect Barack Obama and his attitude towards the issue follows. Finally I enclose the comparison of the health care systems in the United States and the other OECD countries.
