Tato práce se zabývá volnočasovými aktivitami žáků základních škol a středoškoláků. Tyto aktivity byly posuzovány i podle pohlaví. Teoretická část je zaměřena na definici pojmů volný čas, dítě, mládež a gender. Dále pojednává o historii volného času, jeho funkcích, subjektech, které jej ovlivňují, problémech, činnostech ve volném čase, formách aktivit volného času a o institucích. Také se zabývá volným časem dětí a mládeže a zaměřuje se na význam sportu, pohybu a hry. V neposlední řadě se zaměřuje na problematikou gender ve volném čase. V praktické části byla použita metoda kvantitativního výzkumu, která byla realizována pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Výzkumný soubor tvořili žáci vybraných základních a středních škol v Českých Budějovicích. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jakými aktivitami se ve svém volném čase zabývají žáci 2. stupně základních škol v Českých Budějovicích a žáci 2. ročníků středních škol v Českých Budějovicích, a zda v náplni volného času dívek a chlapců existují nějaké patrné rozdíly. Z výsledků vyplývá, že volnočasové aktivity žáků základních a středních škol jsou velmi podobné. Odlišné je množství času věnovaného jednotlivým aktivitám. I přes tuto skutečnost byly ale zjištěny rozdíly v trávení volného času žáků základních škol a středoškoláků a také dívek a chlapců. Jelikož se v České republice příliš nehovoří o volném čase z pohledu gender, uvítala bych, kdyby se tato práce stala impulzem pro další diskuze a výzkumy týkající se této problematiky. My bachelor composition is focused on leisure time of pupils of basic schools and students of secondary schools. Their activities were also assessed by gender. Theoretical part is concentrated on definition of terms: leisure time, child, youth and gender. It analyses about history of leisure time and its functions; subjects which affect them, problems, activities in leisure time, type of leisure activities and about institutions. It also analyses leisure time of children and youth and concentrates on relevance of sport, physical activity and a game. My composition focuses on problems of gender in their leisure time. I have used method of quantitative research in the practical part, which was completed by using questionnaires, completed by pupils from different basic and secondary schools in Ceske Budejovice. The aim of my composition was to find out, which activities are most popular among pupils from second year from basic schools and students from second grade from secondary schools in Ceske Budejovice. The aim was also to find out if there are any significant differences between leisure time of girls and boys. It is clear, that leisure time activities of pupils of basic schools and students of secondary schools are very similar. The only difference is the amount of time spent doing different activities. Despite this fact, there is a difference between how pupils from basic schools and students from secondary schools spend their free time and difference between girls and boys. As the leisure time from the gender perspective has not been analysed too much in Czech republic, I would appreciate if my composition would became impulse for future discussions and research, analyses this topic.
