Ve své práci analyzuji způsob, jakým se v řeckých denících To Víma a Ta Néa odráží kosovská otázka v období od Intervence NATO v Kosovu v roce 1999 až po jednostranné vyhlášení jeho nezávislosti. Převážnou většinu z nich spojuje antiamerikanismus, který je nejcharakterističtějším znakem subjektivních článků k problematice Kosova. Tento řecký antiamerikanismus se nejintenzivněji projevil v období intervence NATO v Kosovu v roce 1999. Analýza obou deníků ukazuje, že pro řecké autory článků nebyly v jejich postojích důležité stejné faktory jako pro řeckou vládu, pro jejíž stanovisko může být určující muslimská menšina v řecké Thrákii. Naopak převážil antiamerikanismus, daný vývojem v Řecku po druhé světové válce, a který i nadále ovlivňuje postoj Řecků k zahraniční politice USA. This work analyzes the way two Greek journals, namely To Víma and Ta Néa, reflect the Kosovo affair in the period between the NATO intervention in Kosovo in 1999 and its unilateral declaration of independence. Most of them are characterized by strong antiamericanism which is by far their most typical common feature. This antiamericanism manifested itself most apparently in the period of the NATO intervention in Kosovo in 1999. The analysis reveals, that to the authors of the published articles they were important other factors for their stance than those important to the greek government for whom the muslim minority in Thrace could be deciding. This objective factor was In the authors' articles outweighed by their antiamericanism, determined by developments in Greece after the Second World War and which still influences the Greeks' stance towards the U.S. foreign policy.
