Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá politikou administratívy prezidenta G.W. Busha okolo amerického zadržiavacieho strediska Guantánamo Bay po udalostiach 11. septembra 2001. Zachytáva porušovanie ľudských práv zajatcov počas fungovania tohto strediska a na tomto príklade zobrazuje rozpor medzi záväzkami štátu a národnými záujmami v teóriách medzinárodných vzťahov. Práca tiež rozoberá základne záväzky Spojených štátov amerických v oblasti humanitárneho práva a práva ľudských práv. Bakalářská práce se zabývá politikou administrativy prezidenta G. W. Bushe kolem amerického zadržovacího střediska Guantánamo Bay po událostech 11. září 2001. Zachytává porušování lidských práv zajatců během fungování střediska a na tomhle příklade zobrazuje rozpor mezi závazky státu a národními zájmy v teoriích mezinárodních vztahů. Práce rozebírá i základní závazky Spojených států amerických v oblasti humanitárního práva a práva lidských prav. The bachelor thesis is concerned with the policy of the administration of G.W. Bush connected with American Guantánamo Bay Detention Camp after the events of September 11, 2001. The thesis describes a violation of detainees' human rights in this detention facility and, using this example, it shows a conflict between state's commitments and national interests in the theories of international relations. The thesis also presents the main international obligations of The United States of America related to the humanitarian law and human rights law.
