The bachelor thesis deals with the U.S. nuclear disarmament at the beginning of the 21st century. Its main objective is to assess, whether the disarmament process made any progress under Bush and Obama administrations. In order to meet this goal, the thesis analyzed American defense and nuclear reviews, from which it is possible to find out an approach of both presidents to the given issue. In addition, the thesis also looked into nuclear arms reduction treaties between the USA and the Russian Federation.
