[cze][eng] Cílem této práce je zjistit, zda se kvalita ţivota v rozvojových zemích za poslední desítky let zvýšila. Práce je zaloţena na vlastních výpočtech modelování trendu časových řad ukazatelů z databáze Světové banky a dotýká se většiny hlavních problémů charakteristických pro rozvojové země, tedy vysoké míry úmrtnosti, chudoby, korupce a mnohé další. V první části jsou vybrány země ze tří světadílů a charakterizovány indikátory z oboru demografie, ekonomie a sociologie, za pomoci kterých bude provedena analýza. Dále jsou popsány data a metody práce. V druhé části je modelován trend časových řad vybraných indikátorů, coţ umoţňuje porovnání ukazatelů v prostoru a v čase.The aim of this thesis is to find out whether the quality of life in developing countries has increased over the last decades. The thesis is based on own calculations - modeling the trend of time series from the World Bank database - and affects most of the major problems which are specific to developing countries, such us high mortality rates, poverty, corruption and many others. In the first part of the thesis developing countries from three continents are selected, indicators in the field of demography, economics and sociology are characterized and data and methods are described. In the second part the trend of times series of selected indicators is modeled that allows benchmarking in space and time.
