[cze][eng] Kanada je ekonomicky velmi vyspělá a kulturně rozmanitá země, s vysokou životní úrovní svých obyvatel a překrásným přírodním bohatstvím. Canada is very advanced economically and culturally diverse country, with a high standard of living of its people and beautiful natural wonders. At the time of globalization countries and cultures interfere in all areas of human activity, and Canada is of course a part of this process. Each enterpreneur who intends to establish a business relationship with Canadian business partner should be familiar with some cross-cultural differences in order to avoid potential conflicts and to communicate effectively with representatives of other cultures. The aim of my thesis was to gather information from available literature concerning cross-cultural differences and specifics of negotiations with the Canadians, and then analyze three specific examples of trade negotiations. The source of information for the analytical part was an in-depth interview with an executive director of a company, which cooperates with Canada. The acquired knowledge and advice can be helpful especially to traders who intend to go to Canada to negotiate with their Canadian business partners. My bachelor thesis may also serve well people who set out to Canada to study or as tourists.
