Bakalářská práce se zabývá zhodnocením postavení transnacionálních korporací ve světové ekonomice v procesu globalizace. První část je věnována definici pojmu transancionální korporace a globalizace. Dále je pak popsán vývoj nadnárodních korporací a vývoj procesu globalizace v tzv. globalizačních vlnách. Druhá část je věnována procesu, na základě kterého se společnost stává nadnárodní. Zároveň obsahuje seznam deseti největších finančních a nefinančních korporací. Zahraniční činnost TNK je uskutečňována především prostřednictvím PZI. Součástí této práce je tedy vyhodnocení současného trendu alokace PZI v souvislosti s TNK. Třetí závěrečná část obsahuje zhodnocení pozice TNK a vysvětlení jejich dominantního postavení na poli světové ekonomiky. Bachelor thesis deals with characterisation of transnational corporations in global economy in the process of globalisation. Follows the description of the development of transnational corporations and globalisation during the globalisation phases. The second part of the thesis describes the process of transformation of a company into a multinational company. Next part includes the lists of the biggest financial and non-financial corporations. International activity of TNCs is realised by FDI. Another part of this thesis is also the evaluation of current trend of localisation of the FDI in relation to TNCs. The last part includes evaluation of the position of TNC and explanation of their dominant position in the global economy.
