Tato magisterská práce se zabývala značkování pomocí trusu a moči u čtyř druhů koňovitých u čtyř druhů chovaných v zajetí a to u osla afrického (Equus africanus), zebry Grévyho (Equus grevyi), zebry stepní (Equus quagga), zebry horské (Equus zebra). data o značkování byly shromažďovány během dvou sezon pětiměsíčních pozorování 15 stád koňovitých v 5 českých zoologických zahradách, a to v Zoo Dvůr Králové, Zoo Liberec, Zoo Brno, Zoo Ostrava a Zoo Ústí nad Labem. Práce se zaměřovala hlavně na testování několika hypotéz o funkci značkování u hřebců, klisen a hříbat a také na mezidruhové rozdíly v chování. This master thesis examined the scent marking behaviour by urine and faeces in four equid species, African wild ass (Equus africanus), Grevy?s zebra (Equus grevyi), Plain zebra (Equus quagga) and Mountain zebra (Equus zebra), in captivity. Data about scent marking were collected during two five-month seasons of behavioural observation of 15 equid herds in 5 Czech Zoos, Zoo Dvůr Králové, Zoo Liberec, Zoo Brno, Zoo Ostrava and Zoo Ústí nad Labem. The study focused mainly on testing several hypotheses explaining scent marking in stallions, mares and foals and also on interspecies differences in this behaviour.
