Práce se zabývá rolí ženy pohledem vědních disciplín, filozofií a náboženství. Centrální myšlenkou je pak charakteristika biblického pohledu na roli ženy, která vychází zvláště z papežského listu Mulieris dignitatem a současných studií amerických biblistů zabývajících se otázkou biblické role muže a ženy. Praktická část se zabývá kvalitativním výzkumem vedeným mezi křesťankami v České republice. Výzkum se zabývá pohledy křesťanských žen na jejich roli a pozoruje uvádění principů biblického ženství do praxe v rodině, společnosti i církvi. Práce si neklade za cíl hodnotit sporné otázky služby žen v církvi, homosexuality či podobných kontroverzních témat spojených s rolí ženy, ale hledá podobu skutečných žen Bible, jejich starostí i problémů. V neposlední řadě se výzkum snaží najít kořeny pohledů na biblickou roli žen, zdroje, z nichž křesťanské ženy, které v České republice tvoří minoritu, čerpají a kde nacházejí své vzory. This thesis concerns scientific, philosophical and religious views of womanhood. Its main focus is the nature of biblical womanhood, based on the papal apostolic letter Mulieris dignitatem and contemporary studies of American biblists, concerning biblical manhood and womanhood. The practical section consists of qualitative research among Czech Christian women. It examines how Christian women view their role and practically implement principles of biblical womanhood in their family, society and church. The aim of this thesis is not to evaluate controversial issues, such as women?s ordination, homosexuality, or other questions regarding womanhood. Nevertheless, it seeks to explore biblical womanhood in practice, as well as the concerns and struggles of real Christian women. Of no less importance, this research tries to identify how Christian women, who are a minority in the Czech Republic, develop their views on biblical womanhood, the sources from which they draw, as well as the models, which influence them.
