Diplomová práce je zaměřena na využití strategického plánování v možnostech rozvoje konkrétního města. Cílem práce je využitím teoretických poznatků ze strategického plánování a rozvoje území vymezit možnosti a limity rozvoje konkrétního území. Teoretická část je zaměřena na význam strategického plánování pro jednotlivé území. V další části je charakterizovaná konkrétní obec, město Beroun a provedena socioekonomická analýza a SWOT analýza. Jsou vymezeny slabé a silné stránky rozvoje města. Dále jsou stanoveny možnosti rozvoje města Beroun, jeho limity a bariéry. This thesis is focused on utilization of strategical planning of possibility on development in concrete town. The aim of this thesis is utilization teoretical knowledge of strategical planning and territorial development and defines possibilities and limits of town development in concrete town. In the theoretical part, the concept of town is defined and main functions of the town are determined. Further on the theoretical part is described importance of strategical planning and regional development for development of concrete territory. In practical part, town Beroun is characterized and implement complex socioeconomic analysis and SWOT analysis. The strength and weakness are defined. Potential and barriers of town Beroun are determined in terms of performed analyses.
