Práce je zaměřena na projekt SEPA, který je projevem samoregulace bankovnictví na evropské úrovni. Jeho cílem je, aby přeshraniční platby v eurech probíhaly za stejných podmínek, jako platby tuzemské, a byl tak učiněn další krok k harmonizaci evropského bankovnictví a využití potenciálu, který v sobě nese vytvořený jednotný trh Evropské unie. V práci se zabývám historií měnové integrace a postupným formováním projektu SEPA, institucemi a sektory, které se na jeho tvorbě podílely, jednotlivými složkami tohoto projektu, jeho legislativní úpravou a realizací v českém bankovním prostředí. The thesis is aimed at the project SEPA, which regulates banking sector in Europe. Its aim is to harmonize national and cross-border payments in Europe and intensify the integrated European Union market. My work consists of history of currency integration and formation of SEPA, institutions and sectors which were concerned in creation of SEPA, parts of this project, and its legislation and realisation in the czech bank sector.
