Cílem práce je zpřehlednit legislativní úpravu přeshraničního platebního styku v rámci Evropské unie. Do kontextu hlavní směrnice jsou zasazeny další předpisy, které s problematikou souvisí. Dále je pozornost věnována jednotlivým platebním systémům a nakonec i projektu Jednotné oblasti pro platby v eurech. The main aim of this thesis is to clear up the legal regulations of cross-border payments within European Union. There are other related rules placed in the main direction's context. Further this thesis pays attention to payment systems and in the end also to The Single Euro Payments Area.
