Práce je věnována analýze katastrofických událostí a možnosti jejich krytí prostřednictvím komerčního pojištění. Pozornost je zaměřena na vývoj a charakter katastrofických událostí a jimi způsobených škod. Popisuje,jak se lze vyrovnat s riziky, která jsou s katastrofami spojena a uvádí některé produkty, které jsou vhodné ke krytí škod. Samostatná kapitola je věnována povodním, jakožto katastrofické události, která je na území naší republiky nejpravděpodobnější. Jsou uvedeny způsoby prevence i následného financování vzniklých škod. This bachelor thesis is concerned with analysis of natural catastrophes and man -- made disasters and their covering. It focuses on disasters trends and their characteristic features. It describes the methods of covering risks caused by theese disasters and also mention some products which can be used in settlement of claims. One part puts brain to floods, their prevention and funding of damages.
