This thesis is trying to describe cable excavators. The aim of this project was to point out the development of the key features in this type of machinery. The first part is dedicated to historical evolution, since the times when the idea of using the machines for excavation arose. Consequently the second part provides detailed description of cable excavators up to now. First of all the machine must be designed, therefore the history and facts of the leading companies are also mentioned. Whole thesis contains records and interesting facts from the world of cable excavators. The last part deals with the machines made for the same purpose as the biggest cable excavators, but with a different design.

Návrh malého podkopového zařízení

Cílem bakalářské práce je návrh malého podkopového zařízení pro traktor a agregací do tříbodového závěsného systému s maximální trhací sílou alespoň 20 KN. Tato práce je rozdělena do šesti kapitol a postupně se zabývá rozdělením rypadlových zařízení, částmi podkopu a rozborem konkurence, alternativami řešení konstrukce, návrhem vlastní koncepce, funkčními výpočty a pevnostními výpočty.
