Jaroslav Herden: A Music Teacher

The thesis introduces one of the most important personalities of the Czech musical pedagogy of the last century - professor PaedDr. Jaroslav Herden, CSc. Its aim of the thesis is to present the wide range of pedagogical activities he practiced. The thesis consists of six main chapters dealing with Herden's life with the focus on his musical activities, his education and professional growth. The chapters analyse Herden's experience at the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague and his publication and broadcast activities. This work also mentions the Summer School of Music, as Herden was its founder. The last part of the thesis focuses on the heritage of this extraordinary personage.

(anglicky): The subject of the my thesis are Czech and Slovak periodicals in the field of library and information science - their concise history, determination of the current terminology in this field and publishing work, description of the editorial staff and the roles of its members, reviewing procedure and editorial work applied to specific examples of both printed and electronic media, specification of formal appurtenances of a specialized article, citation and information ethics. The following chapter deals with the characteristics of the current specialized periodicals issued in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The research oriented part focuses upon the topical analysis of library periodicals, further the results of two questionnaires relating to editorial work are discussed as well as various preparatory stages of a specialized periodical. This talk will explore the details of this 'Plan S' and how researchers can comply with Plan S and actively get involved in Open Access.

Repositories in Libraries, Museums and Archives: Yes or No?

Příspěvek shrne problematiku budování institucionálních repozitářů, jejich význam pro paměťové instituce a poukáže na možné problémy, které s budováním souvisí. Repozitáře slouží především jako místa dlouhodobé archivace a zpřístupnění digitálních dokumentů, tedy i digitálního kulturního dědictví, nikoliv pouze krátkodobých či rychle zastarávajících informací. Vzhledem k proměně povahy nově vznikajících dokumentů v současné době je tedy žádoucí, aby se vznikem takovýchto digitálních archivů paměťové instituce začaly zabývat.
