Evaluation of the Financial Situation of a Company and Proposals For Its Improvement

The master’s thesis is concerned with the evaluation of financial situation of a company. The first part of the work is focused on the presentation of activities of the company as well as on the determination of its present-day state. The master’s thesis uses mainly financial analysis methods whose theoretical basis is introduced in the second part, being followed by the practical application on the situation in the company. Based on the achieved findings, some steps are put forward to help to improve the financial condition of the company.

Use of Controlling at a Company

This master thesis deals with the analysis of current system of control and state of control in company PREMO Ltd. The SWOT analysis is processed in strategic planning, followed by Porter's Five Forces Model. To assess the economic situation there are selected indicators used of operational planning for the last 3 years, then evaluate the processes of Marketing and Sales and Altman Index and Du Pont Analysis. The result of controlling will be the implementation of the controller, defining his obligations and responsibilities. The second proposal is dealt with improving the internal processing of information using the reporting.

This thesis is concerned with cost optimization, choosing the right technology to facilitate the work of management and employees in the company and also improve their financial aspects. From a theoretical point of view describes the work area with a focus on Office 2010 and Office 365 and implementing a related technology. It also states the benefits of choosing one of these office packages. The own solution then presents the information systém tools - office suite and the advantages and disadvantages of each implemented solution.

Financial Analysis of the Selected Firm

This thesis focuses on the evaluation of the financial situation and on the analysis of performance of the selected firm. There are applied methods of finacial analysis and the pyramidal decomposition of economic value added including the identification of value drivers. Companies’ indicators are compared with their branch avarage. The imperative part of this thesis are my proposals and recommendations which can help to remove or reduce the weak parts in the company.

The aim of this diploma thesis is an analysis of selected joint-stock companies of the European automotive industry for the purpose of selecting the most advantageous investment opportunities. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the most common approaches and methods of fundamental analysis of shares. In the practical part, these findings applied to the analysis by BMW AG, Daimler AG, Fiat SpA, PSA SA, Renault SA and Volkswagen AG. The investment recommendation is proposed in the basis of the comparision of the results gathered by the analysis.

Evaluation of Company Financial Performance and Proposals of Improvement

This thesis deals with assessing and evaluating the financial situation of the company ABC from 2008 - 2010. The work is divided into two parts. The first part defines the profile and characteristics of the enterprise and the theoretical-methodological issues. The second part focuses on the application of financial analysis methods on the company accounting statements and on the evaluation of its financial health. Subsequently the proposals of improvement are introduced and projected into the financial plan. The concluding part contains also the financial assessment of the plan.
