The development of energetics in the Czech Republic during the following years
Musil, Miloš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Filip (advisor)
This thesis analyses the current Czech energy sector. It describes its current state and outlines possible scenarios of its development in future years in the context of the energy transformation. The thesis seeks to analyse the current situation of the energy sector in the country, assess its strengths and weaknesses and identify opportunities and threats for future development. The thesis describes the different parts of the Czech energy sector, such as the electricity, gas, heating and oil industries, including production sources, consumption and emissions. Most emphasis is given to the electricity sector. The capacities and potentials of the different sectors are analysed alongside the possible future scenarios outlined. Part of the thesis is also focused on describing and explaining the composition and construction of electricity and gas prices in the Czech Republic. Emphasis is also placed on placing the Czech energy sector in the broader context of the energy sectors of European countries and includes various scenarios for the development of the electricity sector in Europe. In the context of the current geopolitical situation in Europe and the modernisation and transformation of this sector, it is necessary to build new energy sources.
Energy Balance of Smart Ventilated Facade
Salajka, Radek
This article explains the function and basic energy balance for a smart facade system that is being researched at Brno University of Technology. This system is an upgrade to an already well-known ventilated facade. The upgrade is mainly presented by efficient control over built-in shut-off dampers inside the ventilated gap. The main goal is to reduce the energy consumption of buildings and create a healthy and comfortable indoor thermal microclimate in a much more ecological way. Numerical calculations are being used to present the energy use of a given facade in comparison with other conventional facade systems on the same building with identical boundary conditions. FSVM software which provides these calculations has been developed by the same research team. It can calculate the energy balance of conventional facades, ETICS and prototype of smart facades as well. This article presents ongoing research and results of the simulation of the heat flow of these three main facade systems throughout the year. Significant variables for facade heat flow calculations are weather and outdoor boundary conditions. They are used in this article as conditions for the Czech Republic which has a mild climate and four different seasons of the year.
Process computer simulation
Čech, Michal ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with computer simulation of processes, which is crucial in the field of process engineering. In the first part, the methodology of modeling and simulation techniques is described as well as mass and energy balances. Specific approaches to process simulation are included. The thesis offers a list of the most often used simulation programs and their typical structure. Sequential modular and equation-based simulation is demonstrated on an example. The results are then verified by simulation software W2E.
Utilization of waste heat from rectification
Frank, Vojtěch ; Konečná, Eva (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis is to draw up a model of the energy and material balance using technical and technological analysis of the current state of production of waste heat in the process of distillation. Using these results, subsequently evaluate the energy potential of individual streams and propose optimal energy savings using waste heat. Emphasis is placed on the modelling of the process and the various proposed savings options. The result is also an evaluation of the potential of the proposed savings based on the results of the calculation.
Concept of linear motors measurement workplace
Knobloch, Jan ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Klíma, Bohumil (advisor)
Master’s thesis handles about measurement on linear motors. Acts about set of two linear machines on one rail. One is motor and second is load. Thesis paies their mathematical description, control and measurement. It’s made measurement of the linear motor load characteristic. Next measurement have to do with losses in the converter. Is chosen measuring instrument t for measurement during working cycle. During working cycle has determine power eciency of entire drive.
Energy assessment of building for education
Košútová, Katarína ; Hořínková, Lucie (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with analysis of internal microclima of the building , evaluation of its thermal and technical properties and it also deals with its energy comsumption. With using simuation programm, there was designed solutions which will lead not only to lowering of energy consumption but also to improvemnt of komfort for students and tachers.
Operating costs of passive houses
Baranyková, Zuzana ; Chovancová, Jitka (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The main topic of this thesis is the comparison of operating costs (energy balance) of a passive house with running costs of a house of an ordinary construction. Total operating costs of those types of construction are determined and the houses are subsequently divided into groups according to their actual consumption and a comparison of the different types of construction is carried out.
Energy Performance certificate of the Building and Energy Review
Složil, Jan ; Adam, Pavel (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis solves the energy assessment of the apartment building. The theoretical part deals with heat pumps, because in the practical part the heat pump is proposed as a saving measure. In the computational part there is an analysis of the energy needs and flows of the building and energy assessment of the building. The project includes certificate of energy performance of the building and energy assessment.
Development of Simulation Tool for Semi-Hermetic Compressor with the Objectives to Improve Efficiency
Tuhovčák, Ján ; Masaryk, Michal (referee) ; Pavelek, Milan (referee) ; Jícha, Miroslav (advisor)
Compressors are widely used across the all technical fields and current pressure on ecology increases the demand for more effective compressor with economical operation costs. The reasons for inefficiencies must be identified during the development process of a new compressor, where simulation tools might become very useful. There are many different tools for compressor analysis and choosing the right one is mostly dependent on the level of detail that must be analyzed. Models based on energy balance seem to be appropriate when the global parameters of a compressor are demanded. These models offer quick results with reasonable degree of accuracy in terms of basic compressor characteristics. The goal of this thesis is to develop such a simulation tool for a reciprocating compressor. The tool can predict compressor behavior based on compressor dimensions and valve properties. The processes inside the cylinder and heat transfer between the components of a compressor are analyzed using energy balance equation. Simulation tools were verified and experimentally validated using two different types of compressors, therefore they might be used for any reciprocating compressor under some conditions. Mathematical solution was developed in Matlab and therefore it is possible to add new sub-models or to couple the actual model with other simulation tools. This work also contains an analysis of heat transfer models used to predict heat transfer coefficient inside the cylinder and comparison with complex numerical approach. Impact of heat transfer on the compressor efficiency was evaluated too.
