Employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic. It characterizes the legal setting in the current legislation and the historical development of the topic of foreigners in the Czech Republic. The thesis reflects the economic situation of the last few years influenced by the very low unemployment rate in the Czech Republic, but also by the current political situation caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the related refugee crisis towards the EU. The method of conducting the research consisted of a questionnaire survey with domestic employers, together with a guided interview with the HR director, who is also a former foreigner. The data collected through the questionnaires and other secondary data were used for descriptive statistics and to validate the research questions using independence test and time series analysis.

Legal status of professional football players according to the labor law

In this thesis, I deal with the legal status of professional football players according to the labour law. The thesis is divided into three parts. The aim of the first part of the thesis was to analyze whether the performance of professional football is dependent work that must be therefore performed in a basic employment relationship. Furthermore, in this part I dealt with the possible forms of cooperation between players and clubs according to the current legislation in the light of the judgments of the Supreme Administrative Court, which I am analyzing. The aim of the second part of the thesis was to analyze the practical applicability of the Labor Code to the performance of a professional football. I also looked at the consequences for the players of the fact that they do not perform their activity in an employment relationship. The aim of the third part of this thesis was to consider whether a legislative change is needed to solve the problem of the uncertain status of professional football players. In this part, I draw attention to the risks associated with possible regulation, but I primarily propose, in my opinion, the best solution to the given situation. Female Journalists' Labor Law Conditions and Its Impact on Parenthood Planning

This masters' thesis focuses on the labour law conditions of female journalists in the context of the deteriorating quality of the media labour market and how these conditions have affected or are affecting women journalists' motherhood planning. The interviews with ten respondents working in Prague's national newsrooms were analysed using the grounded theory method. The resulting theory, which emerged from a three-stage analysis, describes the factors that influence the maternity planning of women journalists in the context of working conditions. The interpretation of the data also answers questions about respondents' experiences of atypical contracts, how working conditions affect their experiences, or what strategies journalists are using to combine work and care, or what strategies they are considering for the future.

The bachelor thesis deals with agency employment. It describes the principle of how this form of employment works within the framework of domestic legislation. The problems that are being solved in connection with this issue are also being touched upon in thesis. Recent court decisions have also provided a significant source of information. The individual hypotheses of the thesis and the overall goal of the thesis are solved by a questionnaire survey, together with other obtained data on the topic.
Compliance with Labor Law by the Employer and the Possible Impact on Unemployment

This bachelor thesis deals with the compliance with labor law regulations, which are enshrined primarily on Act No. 262/2006 Coll., the Labor Code, as amended and supplemented. The theoretical part is specialized in selected rights of employees and obligations of employers. At first, it is focused on defining basic concepts of labor law and unemployment. The next chapters deal mainly with working hours, works break, overtime work, night work and business trips. At the same time, the bachelor thesis informs about institutions that are helping against violations of the Labor Code. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey. An important topic of bachelor thesis is to find out if violations of the Labor Code have an effect on unemployment, which is deal with in part of the questionnaire survey. The results of the questionnaire survey are presented in graphs and tables.
