Gallery of Modern Art Brno
Jaroměřský, Ondřej Oldřich ; Obrtlík, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the design of a modern art gallery in Brno, Czech Republic. The building serves as a new cultural and educational centre, which creates a new landmark for the inhabitants of Brno. The site is located close to the historic centre of Brno, on the site of the former city walls at the Koliště ring road. There is a tram stop Malinovského náměstí at the main entrance to the site. Two paths lead to the plot from the planned city park, which will be built on the site of the ČD railway siding. The last access to the site for pedestrians and cyclists is from the newly designed footbridge over Koliště Street, which will connect the city park with the new parking house in Koliště Street. The adjacent surroundings of the building, including the parterre with park landscaping, are linked to the future development of the Brno Ringstraße and thus complete the planned green belt around the historic heart of the city. The designed building is six-storeys high, with two underground floors used mainly for parking not only for gallery visitors but also for residents of the surrounding area. The underground parking garage can be accessed via two wheelchair accessible entrances located opposite the main entrance to the gallery, with a vehicle entrance located on Koliště Street according to the new regulatory plan, which plans to build a parking building there. The gallery section itself is made up of four storeys, with the central part of the layout serving as an elevated atrium going through all the storeys, covered by a glazed skylight. This space is used to display large-scale art that can also be hung in the space. The first floor contains, in addition to a lecture hall, cloakrooms and two offices for the gallery management, a workshop room, an open space with refreshments, a technical room and three staircases that go through all floors, including the basement. The first staircase is located at the back of the elongated atrium and, together with the lifts, serves as the main vertical communication in the building. The remaining two staircases with lifts serve as escape routes in the case of fire, leading out of the building on the first floor. All floors are also connected by a hydraulic freight elevator, which is used for the supply and delivery of artworks to the building. The remaining floors with the same layout are primarily used as exhibition spaces with a view into the atrium from the gallery balconies. There are always sanitary facilities for visitors to the building and also preparation rooms for the exhibition spaces. The appearance of the building is heavily inspired by 20th century Brno architecture, both in terms of the material context and the morphology of the building. The heavy and dignified base of the building is formed by a ventilated facade with ceramic brick strip cladding, which emphasises the seriousness and importance of the institution housed in the building. The envelope of the remaining three floors is also made up of a ventilated facade, but with curved perforated panels of anodised aluminium and white powder painting. This upper part of the building, as if shrouded by a curtain, emphasises the fragility and uniqueness of the artworks exhibited, thus protecting them from the world around them, and at the same time highlighting their importance in contemporary society.

Bouchalová, Anna ; Gajdošíková, Pavla (advisor) ; Sedlák, Michal (referee)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the author's diary and its use in art education while simultaneously dealing with the phenomenon of the diary in the context of art concerning pedagogical practice. The first part provides a general theoretical foundation regarding the characteristics and historical development of the diary alongside a reference to literary works, the issues surrounding the author's diary and an overview of well-known visual artists who have used such diaries in their work. The thesis also gives examples of diary-themed exhibitions. Visual artists who employ some of the characteristics of diary entries in their work are listed to understand the diversity of diaries. The text also addresses why drawing is the primary medium of these narratives and the significance of the engagement with diary work. In the practical part, the author has implemented diary principles in her project, producing four large-scale drawings made for four consecutive months. Each day's observations and thoughts were recorded on a sheet of paper. Said paper thus became a specific visual record of experiences reflecting the period in which they were created. The insights from this project and the theoretical foundation were the starting point for the final part, the didactic one. The didactic portion of the...
Max Dvořák and Turn of Art (History) to Work of Art
Murár, Tomáš
In the last years of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, it is possible to observe in literature and the visual arts the destabilisation of previously valid values in relation to tradition, which was no longer able to sufficiently express the world in its completeness. This process can also be observed in art historical research, in its shift away from research into the autonomous development of art towards defining a work of art by thinking about the time of its creation. This transformation is identified in particular with the influence of the spiritual sciences (Geisteswissenschaften), which were also developed by the Czech-born art historian Max Dvořák. In this paper it will be shown, using his thought as an example, how the art historical definition of the work of art can be related to the art of the early 20th century, i.e. as defining itself against the hitherto valid thought concepts of the late 19th century.

It describes basic features of children's artistic expression and the theoretical possibilities of the overlap of art therapy to art in kindergarten. In the second, practical part of the thesis, case reports of four sibling pairs and an analysis of their artwork are presented, in the context of the circumstances and period of its origin. The research has been carried out in a kindergarten environment. The aim was to find out how the artistic expression of siblings reflects the experience of the family environment, how the siblings interact with each other and whether this fact appears in their artistic expression. We found out how the joint presence of these siblings affects their activity in the group and pointed out the possibility of opening the way to solving their adaptation problems and individual themes through artwork.

Peychlová, Aneta ; Holcová, Irena (advisor) ; Křesťanová, Veronika (referee)
Legal aspects of Artificial Intelligence Abstract Similarly to other new technologies, the legal regulation of artificial intelligence is still somewhat behind its rapid expansion and frequent use in the daily activities of the general population. For this reason, this diploma thesis deals with the currently used and future legislation in this area. As the general concept and the issue of liability have already been addressed in previously published academic works, this text focuses mainly on aspects of copyright law. The main goal is to explain the current concept of the role of artificial intelligence in Czech copyright regulation and its pitfalls. In the next phase, the text presents the options of the legal concept of artificial intelligence abroad and their influence on potential further development at both the European and Czech level. The first chapter introduces the basic concepts, especially the concept of artificial intelligence itself. It describes the history of its origin and the fragmentation of views on its definition as well as its consequences for society. Within the understanding of artificial intelligence as a technology, one of the subchapters is also devoted to the comparison of its various divisions and types, in order to create a realistic idea of the current boundaries of its...
