Needs of intervention center workers at work with persons threatened by domestic violence

Diploma thesis "Needs of intervention center workers at work with persons threatened by domestic violence" defines basic concepts in the theoretical section that relate to topic - violence, abuse, domestic violence, violent person, threatened person, expulsed person, expulsion. The thesis also defines characteristics of working with threatened persons and the status of intervention centers in the system of services. Besides that, it deals with the authorization of the institutions that provide support and help to threatened persons. In detail talks about social service - intervention center - focusing on its mission, target group, the statutory duties and interdisciplinary cooperation. Experience from abroad, that was originally the source of inspiration for building the intervention centers in the Czech Republic, is surveyed. The practical section presents the results of the research that was focused on the intervention centers workers in Czech Republic. The aim of the research was to find out to what extent their needs at work with threatened persons are satisfied. Reflection on the process of implementation of palliative care in elderly house/ Domov Sue Ryder with regard to the multidisciplinary team

(in English): This thesis deals with the process of implementation of palliative care in nursing home. It describes the development of competencies and skills in a multidisciplinary team when working with palliative clients and their families, with an emphasis on the issue of the contribution of social work. It compares the developmental steps in the implementation of palliative care in the leading Domov Sue Ryder project with other projects in the country. In doing so, it looks at the experience and development of palliative care in nursing home abroad.
Use of an intercultural worker in the process of educating children with different mother tongue at elementary schools in Prague

Intercultural work is a dynamically developing specialized profession primarily based on social work, specializing in the target group of migrants. In recent years, the services of intercultural workers have been gradually integrated into some nursery and primary schools, concerning the education of children and pupils with a different mother tongue. This phenomenon is the subject of the research part of this bachelor thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to a brief interpretation and conceptualization of selected terms and a description of the context of migration, asylum and integration policy in the territory of today's Czech Republic after 1989 The research part is qualitatively oriented using the method of focus groups with pedagogical staff. The subject of the interviews is a discussion on the characteristics of the role and use of intercultural workers at primary schools in Prague and ponder the question "how would it be possible to characterize the role of intercultural workers in relation to pupils with a different mother tongue, their parents (or legal guardians) and primary schools that demand intercultural work services?" The needs of seniors diagnosed with dementia from the point of view of workers in a Home with a special regime

The bachelor thesis deals with the needs of seniors diagnosed with dementia from the perspective of social workers. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of the age of old age, a description of the types of dementia in old age, the theory of needs according to A. Maslow and according to Maxe-Neef. In the practical part of the bachelor's thesis, I focus on the needs of seniors with dementia according to how social workers detect them. The practical part of the work is solved through qualitative research with the help of semi-structured interviews with employees of one Home with a special regime. The aim of my work is to find out what needs the staff of the Home with a special regime perceive in different groups of seniors and how they evaluate their ability to meet these needs in their clients.
Burnout syndrome and the importance of psychohygiene in helping professions

(in English): The content of this bachelor's thesis is the issue of burnout syndrome and the importance of psychohygiene in the helping professions - specifically for teachers, health professionals and workers in social services. The aim of the work will be to find out what is the rate of occurrence of burnout syndrome in individual groups of helping professions, to compare them with each other, and at the same time to find out what is the level of awareness about mental hygiene across these groups. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is primarily focused on explaining the main concepts, such as the helping profession, burnout syndrome and psychohygiene. The practical part then deals with research, where the main goal is to compare the incidence rate of burnout syndrome in individual groups of helping professions (pedagogues, health professionals and workers in social services). As a research method, the questionnaire survey method was used in the practical part. Possibilities of communication with people with dementia syndrom. Reflection and support of workers' skills

anglicky This diploma thesis deals with the topic of communication with people suffering from dementia. Dementia is a syndrome caused by a progressive brain disease in which cognitive functions deteriorate, such as memory, thinking and orientation. The aim of the work is to find out how workers communicate with clients with dementia and whether they have sufficient support and space from their employer. The theoretical part will specify the dementia syndrome, describe its causes and impact on humans, there will be described approaches and ways of working with this target group. The research will take place in a mixed form, where one part will take place through interviews with workers and the other in the form of anonymous questionnaires.
Eutanasia: legal, medical and ethical issues

I chose the topic Euthanasia: legal, medical and ethical issues due to personal interest in these issues and due to interest in the dying. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the main points associated with euthanasia, particularly concerning the legal point of view but also ccncerning medicine and ethics. The first chapter contains Basic terminology, where I present to the reader basic principles and categories of euthanasia from a general and certain authors' point of view. In the second chapter I present to the reader the Historical context of euthanasia, where I describe the development from the Antique era up to the present. This chapter deals with evolvement of medicine and ethics in relation to euthanasia and summarizes the main conceptions throughout history, including the current ones. In the last part of this chapter I present the conception of autonomy as related to the following chapter, which deals with the legal point of view on euthanasia.
The issue of social status of Czech women - Muslim women

This diploma thesis "Social status of Czech women-Muslim" is divided into practical and theoretical part. The theoretical part contains two sub-chapters and 11 sections, which all the essentials of the issue are contained in. The theoretical part includes the history of Islam with regard to the historical character of the Prophet Muhammad. Also it deals with the holy book for muslimy- Quran, sunnah and other important documents of Islam. It characterizes the five main pillars of Islam. Subsequently it deals with the special position of women in Islam. The theoretical part includes a description of conversion to Islam. The work represents the Islamic community in the Czech Republic and Czech anti-Islamic group. Thesis deals with Islamic fundamentalism as well. At the end of the theoretical part, the important sociological concepts such as social stratification, social role and social status are defined. The practical part presents the results of interviews. These interviews were semi-structured and Were Carried out 15 interviews with 15 responders. The aim of the the empirical part was to answer the research question, That is: "What is the social status of Czech women who converted to Islam and live in the Czech Republic?" At the end the thesis includes a discussion.
Suicidal Tendencies of Seniors in Telephone Crisis Intervention

(in English): The topic of my thesis is the suicidal tendencies of elderly people. The topic is examined from the point of view of crisis hotlines. I describe terms such as old age, telephone crisis intervention and basic developmental needs (Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor) in the theoretical part. The following practical part focuses on crisis hotlines in the Czech Republic and their statistics concerning suicidal calls. The next part of the research is the analyses of interviews with social workers working on crisis hotlines and the analyses of notes from the talks with suicidal clients. I propose different instruments for the prevention of the suicidal tendencies of elderly people in the discussion.
