Treatment of pain with a view to usage of potent opioid analgetics in Masaryk memorial cancer institute in Brno. The content of this work is evaluation of treatment of pain with a view to usage of potent opioid analgetics in Masaryk memorial cancer institute in Brno. Theoretical section is devoted to treatment of pain. Pain influences the quality of life in a fundamental way and that is why we necessarily must pay attention to pain and we must efficiently calm pain. In the theoretical section there are mentioned definition of pain, anatomical and physiological aspects of pain, aspects of diagnostics and evaluation of pain and epidemiology of pain. The literature search is mostly aimed to treatment of pain - especially to pharmacotherapy, but also other possibilities of interference of pain are mentioned - for example analgetic radiotherapy, invasive procedures, aplication of radioisotopes or psychotherapy. Pain is phenomenon, which has its somatic, psychologic and social component and therefore treatment of pain is multidisciplinary mission, which requires complex solution. Treatment of pain has to be always suited to individual patient. Drug use in Hradec Králové University Students.

This graduation theses - "Attitudes and Experiences of University of Hradec Kralove"s Students with Addictive Substances" is aimed for experiences, views and attitudes of university students with legal and illegal addictive substances, namely of students of Pedagogy for a primary school of the second degree and Pedagogy for a secondary school at the Faculty of Education of University of Hradec Kralove. The study involved 270 full time students, of which 66 were 1st year students, 131 were 2nd year students and 73 were 3rd year students. There were 193 women and 77 men in this study. Majority of students (75.9 %) were aged between 20 and 22 years with the average age of 21.2 ± 1.9 years. The most of students (44.6 %) live at towns with more than 10 000 inhabitants. In respect of financial possibilities of the students more than half of them (52.6 %) can spend between 50 to 200 CZK per week. In this study there were the regular, facultative and rare smokers - 28.6 %, while 7.8 % students considered themselves to be regular smokers. The largest representation of the smokers was in the 3rd degree (35.6 %) but the most numerous group of the regular smokers occurred in the 1st degree (10.6 %). Department: Department of biological and medicinal sciences Epilepsy is frequent neurological disease. It is characterised by spontaneously repeated epileptic seizures, which are caused by abnormalities of neuronal activity of the brain. Therapy of epilepsy consists in prophylaxis of epileptic seizures, and that is why it is necessary to use the antiepileptic drugs for a long time. This administration is accompanied by the increased risk of adverse effects. Present thesis classifies particular epileptic seizures, describes pathophysiology of epilepsy and the principles of therapy with antiepileptic drugs. The principal aim of my work was to find out and evaluate side effects of antiepileptic drugs by the help of the questionnaire. The results proved higher efficacy and fewer adverse effects of monotherapy in a comparison with combined therapy and also 3rd generation antiepileptic drugs in a comparison with the 1st generation of antiepileptic drugs.
