This bachelor thesis analyzes the current debt crisis in countries called PIIGS (Por-tugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Spain) and suggests possible solutions. The first part describes the development of the previous crisis and debt crisis as well. The sec-ond part focuses on PIIGS countries, analysis is made by case studies and graphs. The discussion is devoted to the recommendation of appropriate solutions for each country.

Chinese Outward Foreign Direct Investment with a Focus on the USA

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of outward foreign direct investment of the People´s Republic of China with a focus on the United States of America. The initial chapter introduces the concept of foreign direct investment. The purpose of the second chapter is to analyse outward foreign direct investment of China in general. It also gives an overview of the China investment policy, main motives of Chinese investor's decision and specific features of Chinese FDI. Last chapter focuses on the analogous analysis of Chinese FDI in the United States. The work also assesses the investment attractiveness of the country and aims to describe its stance towards Chinese FDI.

Authorised economic operators and customs procedures

This thesis deals with the issues connected with the certification of Authorised Economic Operators and should provide a comprehensive and comprehensible overview, which ought to help understand the significance of the AEO certification. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the expounding of customs procedures. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the concept of Authorized Economic Operator. It deals with the definition, the objectives of this project, various types of the certification and finally with benefits arising from it. The last part focuses on the practical aspects of the AEO status, such as the criteria that companies need to meet, the procedure of submitting an application and consequent entrance examination. Finally, a summary of selected statistics, which should provide a general overview of the AEO project, is presented.
