Optical toys and animation puns in art education

This bachelor's thesis deals briefly with the history of early animation and further transition from pre-animation techniques to the world of film animation. It presents domestic and foreign contemporary work production mainly in the field suitable for working with children. It maps recent trends in the field and their further use through post-production. In addition, it points out parallels and inspirational examples from the film or gallery environment of animation. The didactic part presents the basis of the application of various methods of animation in practice with students. The objectives of the Framework Educational Plan (FEP) are taken into account here. The creative part of the thesis, explores pre-animation techniques using a thematically open set of optical toys (flipbooks, zoetropes, trauma tropes) based on the principle of visual momentum. Contemporary animation with focus on art education

The bachelor thesis deals with the current form of animated production, especially the tendencies that have emerged in recent years. It presents the possibilities of different approaches to animation, working with it and its use in art classes or in workshops. Current trends are presented through specific animated films and the work of their authors. Emphasis is placed on filmography created in the Czech Republic, mostly for children. For a comprehensive view of the field, the thesis maps basic animation techniques and represents a common procedure in the creation of professional animated films. The thesis also provides a list of organizations, institutions and programs dedicated to the dissemination of animation, its education for both students and teachers interested in involving it in their classes. The author relies on a professional literature, as well as information from websites or blogs dealing with the issue of animation, its difficulties and beauties. The author herself has been interested in animated work for several years, so she also uses her own work and the knowledge associated with it as a source of information. Kočová, K.: Forms of contemporary czech illustration for the youngest readers. /Thesis/ Prague 2011 - Charles University, Faculty of education, department of art education, 86 pages. The thesis deals with contemporary tendencies in illustrations for the youngest readers. It compare the work of contemporary Czech artists, who do illustrations for young children as a 'kitsch'. The thesis analyzes the phenomenon of 'kitsch' and utilizes concrete examples from books or magazines for children. The didactic section focuses on work with illustrations in the first grade of primary school. It explores children's reactions to the artwork of contemporary artists as well as the attitude of teachers to this art. The aim of the graduation thesis is the relation of human and space in the context of philosophy, psychology, social history, art and education. The theoretical part is focused on open and closed space, on their relationship to basic human needs as safeness and solidarity. Individuals apply isolation and control to defeat their fears. The means of open architecture are connected with these issues as well. The second part of my work concentrates on my art projects inspired by the mentioned concepts. My installations, actions and cycle of photographs is described. The third part is focused on applications of these topics in the art teaching. Animal's picture /Thesis/ Praha 2010 Charles university, Pedagogical faculty, department of art, number of pages 65 The illustrations in Czech book for children with concentration to picture of animal in illustration and literary texts create main subject of this Thesis. The work finds out various methods of animal illustrations within general illustrator approaches, it gets around of selected principal representatives of the Czech illustration. It looks at current production of books for children in their positive and negative aspects, it follows the efforts to look after the "belles-lettres" as well as unvalued production connected with irresponsibility towards the children's readers. Signs in the streets - Comparison of Danish and Czech city design is a desk study which is concerned with history and forms of visual communication in public area and its position in the early 21st century. The target of these graduation theses was compare the position and level of visual communication in Denmark and in the Czech Republic. Information and orientation systems are incorrect in both countries but the errors come from different reasons. Abstract The diploma thesis independently follows on the author's bachelor thesis. It briefly describes the substance and the history of the graffiti phenomenon with the focus on current situation and local scene. Then, it points out less frequent questions and problems that are based on the substance of graffiti itself. The text tries to give important information and impulses to the teachers of art lessons, who often have misinterpreted and partly idealized idea of graffiti. The thesis also focuses on the state of current Prague street art that is on the decline at the moment. The text combines particular examples with consideration passages that deal with general topics like non/conformity, freedom, safety, creativity, ilussions, relationship to surroundings or private property. The research that was done among the teachers at lower and higher secondary schools is compared with the author's opinions, even by means of two dialogues with graffiti artists themselves. Universal clothing and its use in museum education

In my thesis, built on the bachelor's thesis, I focus on the universal form of clothing. In the theoretical part I research the common features of garments in changing cultural and historical contexts. I focus on general aspects of clothing. I search for connections between functions and forms of clothing. I monitor the impact of historical styles on the work of contemporary clothing designers and I seek the universal features of today's fashion apparel. I observe the interest of children, teachers and also of publications in textile creation. In the art section I work on a series of proposals for universal variable apparel. By using patents it is created more models out of just one. I document and crtitically reflex the final results of possible model variations. In didactic part I suggest educational program for selected clothing exposition. The program includes worksheets and the posibility of using a universal garment as teaching tool. The program I verify in practice I also document and evaluate.
