Autonomy of City Districts: Case Study of the Capital City of Prague
Iran, Jakub ; Jüptner, Petr (advisor) ; Průdková, Karolína (referee)
1 Annotation Almost every European capital city is subdivided into sub-local units. This territorial division is a result of the decentralization of public administration. Sub-local parts of municipalities in different countries have different degrees of autonomy. Czech municipal system defines the institute of a statutory city, which can be subdivided into city districts. In contrast to these cities capital city of Prague must divide its territory into city districts. However, capital city of Prague has a specific position of municipality, region and capital at the same time, which means that the powers of municipality, region and capital accumulate here. This specific position is also highlighted by the fact that it is governed by its own law in comparison with other statutory cities in the Czech Republic. This bachelor thesis aims to analyze and evaluate the degree of autonomy of city districts of Prague. Furthermore, whether the current level of autonomy corresponds to the real needs of city districts in capital city of Prague.
Cross-border cooperation of the Czech Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Poland within the Euroregion Neisse - Nisa - Nysa
Janoušek, Hynek ; Jeřábek, Martin (advisor) ; Průdková, Karolína (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals on the problematics of Euroregions with Czech participation. The theoretical part discusses the emergence of Euroregions, their functions, internal mechanisms and functioning. Euroregions are an essential part of the cross-border cooperation, which they influence primarily through projects funded by European Union funds. These projects aim to strengthen cross-border cooperation between individual municipalities and cities, together with other entities. The thesis explains more details about mentioned projects - the description of concrete projects, funding and the actual realization. The practical part is devoted to the application of data to one specific Euroregion, Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa. Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa is an appropriate example for the explanation of the actual function of Euroregions. Data from the theoretical part are applied to that to provide a complete picture. Furthermore, the practical part mentions specific projects which were subsidized through the Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa to explain the functioning of Euroregions and their members in practice.

Čeladníková, Tereza ; Průdková, Karolína (advisor) ; Jüptner, Petr (referee)
This work was focused on the procedure of the state in the traffic construction realization and the intervention of municipalities and regions in this procedure. The process of approving traffic constructions can be divided into five phases, the strategic phase, the conception phase, the land preparation phase, the construction preparation phase and the pre-implementation phase. Each of these phases has certain steps that must be followed. Municipalities and regions can enter the process at several points, the most important of which is the entry into the research study, the EIA process and the territorial proceedings. Municipalities and regions can also influence the warrant approval of traffic constructions with other resources, such as media coverage of the problem, petition events and cooperation with other autonomies. Another goal of the work was to reveal what complications are taking place in approving the completion of the D1 motorway, section 0136 Říkovice - Přerov. I carried out a case study and found out that the completion of the examined section was complicated by a lack of funds, the need to repeat the territorial proceeding with obtaining an exception from the EIA process. Civic associations opposing the completion appeal against the issued decisions and submit comments against the...

The base resource for the study is the territory of the capital city of Prague, where this phenomenon has a massive impact on the problems in legislative issues. The political debate on this agenda fills the headlines of media news and tends to lead to major changes or mobilization of the electorate in the upcoming years. The enormous rise of developing this service has put politics at all levels of government ahead of serious legislative and political challenges. Application of the Airbnb service example on our theory forms the core of the empirical part of the research. The aim of this thesis is to examine the importance and role of each individual level based on the concept of multilevel governance in relation to the regulation of the Airbnb phenomenon. Elements of political marketing in Litvínov 2018 municipal election campaign
Lamková, Ivana ; Průdková, Karolína (advisor) ; Jüptner, Petr (referee)
This diploma thesis is a case study of the town Litvínov from which the author comes from. It analyses the use of political marketing in the party election campaigns, which is described in detail and applied through the Lees-Marshment's theory with the help of semi-structured interviews, questionnaire surveys, mapping of programs and Codes of Conduct. The expected result of the thesis is not only the analysis of the municipal pre-election campaigns of the individual candidate parties using the Lees-Marshment theory, but also critical evaluation of this theory applied within the municipal politics. The partial objective is to compare the use of marketing of regional and national candidate parties within the municipal politics. It is not only a description of this theory, but also an evaluation of the theory suitability on the municipal level. The conclusions point to the fact that political marketing plays a certain role at the municipal level, but the degree of its use is much lower than on the national level.
