Use of reminiscence therapy for older people and people with dementia

This thesis focuses on elderly people. It focuses on people with dementia and on the importance of reminiscence therapy when working with these target groups. The thesis describes dementia and types of dementia, progression of dementia, prevention of dementia, needs of seniors and people with dementia. It gives theoretical description of reminiscence therapy and its use. Practical description of reminiscence based on particular personal research, which is carried out with the help of interviews, personal documentation studies, case studies and observation of seniors and people with dementia.

Students free time activities at school hostel

1 Abstract In my diploma thesis, I cover primarily the interests of students accommodated at school hostels. Not only interests in the accommodation facility are examined, but also in free time outside the school hostel. The research was carried out by a questionnaire survey and also by an interview with pupils. The aim of the work is to find out what interests are preferred by students at school hostels and outside it. Furthermore, there is the question of whether students agree with the schedule and responsibilities and whether students prefer individual spending time together over common. The work also addresses how the interests of pupils differ according to age and how the popularity of activities contrasts between men and women. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts (for example, adolescence, school hostel, interests, leisure). The practical part describes the outcomes of the research survey. These are shown in graphs and tables.

Portrait in photography - official portrait and social document. Application of topic to school practise and it's possibilities

v anglickém jazyce Theoretical part examines the topic of portrait as the specific genre of photographic media since the beginning of man capture through the photography until WW2. It is based on the study of recommended and other literature. It deals with the work of important artists in the field of photography and finds such a pictorial art works that relate to the photographic representation with their principle and concepts. This work follows transformations of so called official portrait photography and portrait in the social level. In conclusion, the work also focuses on the current positions of portrait now digital - photography. In the didactic part the aim is to create and practically verify the proposal of complete didactic project for Art education at the second grade of elementary school, which builds on current possibilities of digital photography as the available specific art medium, on the base of studying the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education and findings from the study. The project also works with the psychological aspects of portrait. Realization of the proposed author project, which uses photography as the inspiration, motivation or the mean of art activities, confirmed that such a project can be successfully included into the curriculum of the second grade...
