Interactions between microplastics and heavy metals in the aquatic environment
Ottová, Michaela ; Pavlovský, Jiří (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the adsorption of heavy metal ions on the microplastic. Specifically, lead, chromium, zinc, copper, mercury and polyethylene terephthalate was chosen as the plastic representative. Atomic absorption spectrometry (F-AAS, AMA) and FTIR with method ATR were used for the analysis. The aim of this work was to perform selected adsorption experiments, to determine the adsorption kinetics and the maximum amount adsorbed. Subsequently, the most suitable kinetic and isothermal model was determined for each element and the characteristic parameters were calculated.

Havránek, Pavel Jaroslav ; Ottová, Michaela (advisor) ; Macek, Petr (referee)
(EN) The Bachelor Thesis will map the fond of the Late Gothic Era made up of the works connected to the Martinitz's residential city of Smečno. The fond includes: the castle chaple of St. Anne and its furniture, the Ledce Altarpiece, the Smečno Madonna etc. The aim is to base the core of the thesis on archival research and the stylistic analysis of the artworks. Space will be further given to a survey of the artworks' further fates before and after the year 1918, in which the influence of the Martinitz family, or, since 1792, the Clam-Martinitz family, was interrupted in Bohemia and therefore also at Smečno. Due to historical events some of the artworks from Smečno found their way to other places and institutions, like the National Museum or the National Galery in Prague, by which their coonnection to Smečno was often severed. I will try to connect the artworks with specific locations at Smečno, the Church of the Holy Trinity and the castle chapel of St. Anne, and with the commissioning activities of the Martinitz family. Keywords: Smečno, Late Gothic era, Sculpture, Wood carving, the Martinitz, the Clam- Martinitz, Master of Doksany Altarpiece.

Středověká nástěnná malba na Doupovsku Abstract This thesis focuses on medieval mural paintings in the area of the Doupov Mountains on two examples, church of St. Nicholas in Nepomyšl and destroyed cemetery church of St. Wolfgang in Doupov. Description of both churches contains historical background of its origin and decoration, including donors. Other parts of thesis deal with present condition of paintings, iconographical and iconological analysis as well as inspiration and analogy. In both cases the largest part takes the Christological cycle in the naves. The medieval paintings from two periods were recently uncovered in the church of St. Nicholas in Nepomyšl. The older of them are dated to the second half of 14th century. Remains of them are in the presbytary of the church. The younger are from the beginning of 16th century. Kieweg, Jan ; Macek, Petr (advisor) ; Ottová, Michaela (referee)
Problematical historical preservation buildings from the 2nd half of the 20th century on example of the Military building Abstract The bachelor thesis focuses on the problematical protection of buildings from the second half of the twentieth century. The historical preservation issue will be presented on the construction of a Military building, which was built in the style of Brutalism. This unique building of architect Jan Hančl will be monographically worked on and evaluated in a broader sociology context, together with related problems of its historical preservation. The recent circumstances, which led to a longtime covering using large billboards, will be clarified. The following removal of the advertisement provoked a lot of emotions and resulted in a complete demolition. The author of this bachelor work aims to take hold of this affair, and he points out the historical institution malfunctioning, which is slowly becoming a phenomenon. Besides ordinary art- historical methods, oral testimonies of direct participants were used, primarily of the professional public, along with the conservationists, and members of the club called Za starou Prahu. Crowns of Czech kings and royal crowns in the Middle Ages
Krupková, Klára Anna ; Royt, Jan (advisor) ; Ottová, Michaela (referee)
Crowns of Czech kings and royal crowns in the Middle Ages The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of important medieval royal crowns, which played a key role in the European field of political and ecclesiastical events in the context of the Holy Roman Empire. The text is divided into three main sections, which focus on the historical and art-historical view of the crowns. In the introduction, a basic typology is differentiated and the idea of symbolism of crowns during the Middle Ages is closely studied. In the main part, the work focuses on selected European crowns, whose artistic tendencies intertwine and thus complement the idea of then high-quality goldsmith's craft style. The aim of the work is also to point out the perception of a crown at that time, considerably exceeding an image of a physical jewel, a symbol of a monarch and manifestation of power of majesty over a reigned territory. For example, in connection with the Lands of the Bohemian Crown under Charles IV Luxembourg the relation between the land and the crown was evident. Due to easily accessible sources, the work pays special attention to crowns of Czech origin, especially the crown of St. Wenceslas. In this context, the chosen topic is extended by chapters discussing coronation orders, coronation rituals, and the worship of...
Master of Madonna from Žebrák and the Sculpture ofthe Last Quarter of 14th Century.
Vrablik, Stéphane ; Ottová, Michaela (advisor) ; Jindra, Petr (referee)
(EN) The thesis focuses on twelve sculptures from the last quarter of the 14th century, more or less closely associated with the Madonna of Žebrák in the existing literature. Since the 1960s, the core of the group has been conceptualised as the production of one artist or one workshop, which immediately preceded and in many ways contributed to the formulation of the so-called beautiful style around 1400. More recent scholarship interprets the group more as a broader tendency, forming a kind of alternative to the first works of the beautiful style in the 1380s, existing parallel to them in mutual interaction. While the exclusive earliest beautiful Madonnas seem to have been created as a somewhat deliberately formulated pictorial type, actively reinterpreting the rich sculptural tradition of the third quarter of the century, the more conservatively oriented sculptures of the Žebrák Madonna circle tend to build on the earlier work. The sculptors worked inventively with various stimuli brought by the dynamic and artistically fertile environment of Prague. The surprisingly wide style range of this group finds its sources and comparisons in the various positions of Parléř's cathedral sculpture and carving, the marlstone (opuka) madonnas and especially the horizontal pietas; a certain continuity with the...
