Design of optimal utilization of company's data capacities

The diploma thesis deals with the problem of storage capacities of server discs in the allowance organization of Brno City Museum. The organization has long-lasting troubles with insufficient capacity of these discs. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the current state and to propose a suitable solution on the basis of the results of this analysis. Further, the suggested measures should be applied as well.

The theoretical part specifies basic work-related terminology. The practical part provides analysis of the current status, solution proposal, assessment and a description of implementation of a system scheduling shifts of the organisation´s employees

Mitigation of DoS Attacks Using Neural Networks

This bachelor's thesis deals with design and implementation of two approaches as protection against SYN Flood attacks, which are part of DoS attacks. Nowadays Denial of Service attack are very widespread and their execution are quite simple. While they can cause big financial damage to internet or service providers. The purpose of this work is to determine that conventional algorithmic approach and heuristic approach using neural network are capable of SYN Flood attacks mitigation. Implementation of both approaches were done by their design. Then both implementations were tested.

Port Block Allocation for Network Address Translation

Cílem této semestrální práce je nastudovat problematiku Carrier-Grade NAT (CGN) přístupu, který musí provádět záznam o překladu adres každého nového spojení. Protože CGN leží na rozhraních rozsáhlých sítí, může denně zaznamenat statisíce spojení. Toto množšství záznamů má vysoké paměťové nároky a ještě složitější je hledání konkrétního záznamu. Tyto problémy je možné řešit pomocí alokace bloku portů pro překlad adres. Výstupem této práce je vytvoření pravidla do iptables, které provádí tuto alokaci bloků pro překlad adres. To se skládá z uživatelské části, která zpracovává pravidla a kernelovský modul provádějící funkcionalitu pravidla.

The diploma thesis deals whit possibility of establishing a tennis center in chosen locality. In the first part this diploma thesis deals whit gathering theoretic ways, in the second part than with establishing a Tennis centre itself. This part includes analysis of competition and market, potential customers and business plan. The outcome of my thesis is comprehensive project on establishing the Tennis centre.

Comparison of Selected Ways of the Garage Type Real Property Evaluation in Brno

This master‘s thesis aim is to provide a comparison of methods in garage appraisals within the territory of the city Brno. This comparison is being done on several immovables and using multiple apprising methods. The acquired data are further evaluated afterwards. First, the garage market in Brno is analyzed. This is done by comparing the supply with the demand incl. those characteristics that could influence the prices of the immovable properties. This analysis is based on real-world data of garage sales from an estate agency. For the appraisal itself, 10 immovables of the type “garage” were chosen. These are then appraised using the cost-based and comparative methods. The location distribution of these estates in the territory of the city Brno and within the city quarters has been chosen in such a manner to provide the most different ones. Then the acquired data are being compared and statistically evaluated. Such information can be used in the practice when appraising of such immovables on the market with garages within the territory of the city Brno is being done.
