The psychological stress of being a probation officer and sources of support in coping with this stress

The thesis focuses on the workload of probation officers and their coping resources. The aim of the thesis is to find out what types of activities and situations are the most burdensome for probation officers and what resources they use to cope with these burdens. At the same time, the thesis aims to clarify what probation officers would need from their employer to manage their workload. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical definition of the concepts of the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic, workload, workload management and prevention. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the research itself. The aim of the thesis was explored through qualitative research conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with probation officers across the Czech Republic. A total of 23 male and female probation officers were involved in the analysis. The data collected was analysed using thematic analysis. The research identifies activities and situations that are the most stressful, these are especially indirect work with clients, in direct work with clients these are problematic clients, as well as many clients per one probation officer and the related overload. The bachelor's thesis deals with the professional orientation, the assumptions and the ability of adolescents with behavioural disorder. The main aim of this work is to discover whatthe professional orientation of adolescents with behavioural disorders is and compare the assumptions and abilities of these adolescents with their professional aspirations. A partial goalof this work is to analyse the fluctuation (stability) of their direction. The first part of the thesisis devoted to the theoretical basis. The second part is devoted to the research itself that was done using the Bochum's Business-Focused Inventory of Personality, the Self-Directed Searchand a non-standardized questionnaire.
Perception of the meaning of life by adolescents placed in diagnostic institution

(in English): The bachelor's thesis concerns how adolescent boys placed in diagnostic institution perceive the meaning of life. The main aim of this work is to discover to which extent these boys perceive their life as fulfilled in contrast to boys who have never been in institutional care. The work focuses mainly on how their perception of the meaning of life and the life values differ or match and on the potential possibility to use existential social work when working with adolescents placed in the institutional facility. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical basis. The second part is devoted to the research itself which was done using the logo-test and a semi-structured interview, thus using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
