Application ISA 95 standard to the automation barman machine
Musil, Zdeněk ; Knobloch, Tomáš (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and application of the ISA 95 standard for a semi-automatic barman machine. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the description of the ISA 95 models, together with FactoryTalk platform and its products related to the ISA 95 standard. In the practical part batch procedure is designed and applied on the machine. Based on this, implementation of standard ISA 95 using Rockwell Automation products is made. The last chapter of this thesis deals with verification of functionality and overall system design, from which concludes an overall machine performance and production deficiencies.
Heating and ventilating of low-energy and passive houses
Jankola, Mario ; Musil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The Bachelor's thesis focuses on heating and ventilation of low-energy and passive houses. The beginning chapters describe and explain basic principles of these buildings and basics of air-handling systems. The main part of the work overviews contemporary heating and ventilation systems while pointing out their advantages and disadvantages. The last chapter consists of realistic blueprint for low-energy family house, including specifications on heating and ventilation systems, as well as evaluation of their efficiency.
Microbiological hazards in HVAC systems
Musil, Zdeněk ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Kolbábek, Antonín (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with microbiological hazards in HVAC systems, especially in air condition systems. There is noted the basic information from related fields. The same microbiological hazards are divided in health risk and in microbiological corrosion. In the last part of this thesis are mentioned possibilities of their elimination and recommendation for prefiguring of them.
Implementation of the air-ground heat exchangers in condition of the Czech Republic
Macenauerová, Tereza ; Musil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kolbábek, Antonín (advisor)
This work presents the implementation of ground heat exchangers for air-conditioning systems of buildings in the Czech Republic, especially in south Moravia. The purpose is to find basic information about specific devices - such as the type of heat exchanger, material of pipeline, the method of suction (filtration), outlet of condensate, etc. These are parameters that investor can decide before the realization. Exercise equipment is dependent on the parameters that investor can not decide (eg. type of soil, disposition of land, surrounding climate). The work is based on a questionnaire study (part of junior project FSI-J-12-24) form 2012 which was solved with concrete owners of realized devices. A part of the ground heat exchangers comes from the implementation of energy-efficient houses KARON s.r.o. company, the basic parameters of the these exchangers are provided by its managing director Ing. Stanislav Karasek. Other devices have been traced in the database of passive houses in the Czech Republic - managed by the Passive House in Brno. The work summarizes some of knowledge of owners, shows the most often used types and values the importance of proper design of the whole device.
Multiple sclerosis: correlation of gene expression and response to immunomodulatory therapy

KLEINOVÁ, Pavlína. Roztroušená skleróza mozkomíšní: korelace genové exprese a odpovědi na imunomodulační léčbu [Multiple sclerosis: correlation of gene expression and response to immunomodulatory therapy]. Praha, 2023. 107 s., 3 přílohy. Disertační práce. 1. lékařská fakulta Univerzity Karlovy v Praze. Vedoucí práce Eva Kubala Havrdová. Abstract Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease of the central nervous system with a genetic component, modifiable with immunomodulatory therapy. It is assumed that genetic factors influence the course of the disease and the therapeutic response. The thesis presents the results of two studies investigating the genetic background of multiple sclerosis. In the first study, the influence of the (GT)n polymorphism of the promoter of the HMOX1 gene for heme oxygenase 1 affecting its expression was investigated in people with multiple sclerosis. No effect of this polymorphism on the course of the disease was observed. We confirmed the effect of immunomodulatory therapy on delaying disease progression. The second study, called the Genotype/Phenotype Project, is a multicentre international genome-wide association study aimed at detecting single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with severity of multiple sclerosis. It has been shown that common genetic variants with...
Molecular biological analysis of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma
Musil, Zdeněk
This work summarizes the results of a research inquiring into relatively rare neuroendocrine tumors - pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PHEO/PGL) These tumors may arise on a hereditary genetic predisposition basis. On that account we primarily focused on a genetic examination of patients with PHEO/PGL. Methods for diagnostics of changes in SDHD, SDHB and RET genes were implemented. The number of examined genes has been (and is still being) extended. Currently we are investigating these genes: ATRX, BRAF, CDH1, CDKN2A, CDKN2B, FGFR1, FH, FHIT, GNAS, HIF2A (EPAS1), H-RAS, IDH1, IDH2, KIF1Bß, KMT2D, K-RAS, MAML3, MAX, MDH2, MET, NF1, NGFR, N-RAS, PHD2/EGLN1, RET, SDHA, SDHAF2, SDHB, SDHC, SDHD, TERT, TMEM 127, TP53 and VHL, using next generation sequencing. The number of variations of the above mentioned genes is different (23%) in Czech patients with PHEO/PGL in comparison with some foreign studies (27%, 40%). This may be caused by geographical influences or selection of patients. PHEO/PGL occur mainly (75%) in a benign form. A malignant form may be indicated by the presence of chromaffin tissue in locations where these tumors do not usually occur - liver, lungs, bones. In our study we focused on characteristics indicating the malignancy, for example, the lower age of patients with the first...

Renal agenesis
Svobodová, Iveta ; Musil, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Merta, Miroslav (referee)
Renal agenesis is relatively common, genetically determined, disease. Genes which lead to its origin are still unconfirmed. Subject of this study was to perform molecular-genetic analyses of two genes, which are candidate for origin of renal agenesis in humans, genes coding tyrosine kinase receptor RET and neurotrophic factor GDNF. Mutation analysis of 20 exons of RET and 3 exons of GDNF in group of 20 patients with diagnosed unilateral renal agenesis has been done. Numeric changes were also investigated. The aim of this work was to identify potential mutation of RET and GDNF genes and contribute to their association with renal agenesis formation. No pathogenic mutation has been found in the group of patients, only three known single-point polymorphisms in RET gene have been detected. Polymorphism rs1800860 (GCG-GCA, Ala-Ala 432) is situated in exon 7 and has been found in 9 of total 20 patients, thereof in two cases in homozygous state. Polymorphism rs1800861 (CTT-CTG, Leu-Leu 769) is located in exon 13 and has been identified in 3 of 20 patients, thereof one patient was homozygote for minority allele G. Polymorphism rs1800863 (TCC-TCG; Ser- Ser) in 15. exon has been found in 5 patients, at any time in heterozygous state. All cases are about common polymorphisms with frequency of minority allele...
