Standard switchboard for PV plants up to 10 kW
Řezáč, Stanislav ; Morávek, Jan (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on drawing a single-line diagram and subsequently creating a hybrid photovoltaic system with energy storage, supplemented by a laboratory-use wallbox. The first part of the thesis provides a brief introduction to photovoltaics and presents various photovoltaic system types, as well as introducing different components of the hybrid photovoltaic system. Furthermore, the requirements for connection according to Annex 4 of the Distribution System Operation Rules and the Requirements for Generators directive are described. The second part of the thesis consists of the single-line diagram of the entire system and the module diagram of the R-DC/AC distribution board, based on which the entire system is assembled and connected. The conclusion of the thesis focuses on specifying how the distribution board is connected and describes the procedure for its installation. The measurement protocol for the specific distribution board R-DC/AC has also been prepared. The thesis also includes project documentation of the system, comprising a technical report and the mentioned diagrams.

Utilization of Photovoltaic Energy for Water Heating in Family House
Fryšták, Tomáš ; Morávek, Jan (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
The task of the work is to bring the issue of utility water heating closer together and to design a system that would be feasible in the layout of the building and constitute a fully-fledged replacement, even improvement, of the existing utility water heating system. The issue is viewed from two perspectives. From the point of view of using a photovoltaic system with a transducer and an electrical spiral, and from the point of view of using a photothermal system where the sunlight is directly converted to heat and its subsequent storage. It then compares several variants of a similar system from the economic and functional side.
Project documentation of photovoltaic power plant category B1
Rehák, Jan ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis focuses on project documentation for a photovoltaic power plant. Requirements for parallel connection of power plants with installed power from 100 kW to 1 MW to the distribution grid are studied. Next, research has been conducted on individual components and options for local and dispatch control of photovoltaic power plants. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the creation of project documentation for an embedded photovoltaic power plant located in the buildings of FEKT Brno University of Technology. The final part of the thesis includes an economic evaluation of the project.
Lithium battery accumulation system testing
Straka, Jan ; Koval, Filip (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with properties, parameters and testing of lithium battery systems available on the market. It describes basic parameters of battery cells, which are used to make batteries and battery systems, equivalent electrical models of batteries for the purpose of conversion of their properties to an electrical circuit and stating and comparing commercial battery systems of different manufacturers. What follows is the introduction of tests to measure the parameters of battery systems. The experimental part of this thesis describes the used testing platform and evaluates results of carried out measurements.
Safety of off-grid hybrid energy system operation
Orság, Štěpán ; Vrána, Michal (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the safety of hybrid systems in island operation. The safety requirements for electrical installation with photovoltaic system and protection against electric shock are discussed. Hybrid battery systems have a lower short-circuit performance in islanded operation, compared to parallel operation with the distribution grid, so the thesis focuses on the specifics of islanded operation and the use of protections that are part of the PV inverter or electrical installation. The work includes the design of test procedures and measurements on selected inverters with subsequent evaluation and recommendation of further protection measures.
Project of 250 kWp PV power plant with energy accumulation system
Kovaľ, Nikodém ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is focused on getting familiarization with the current requirements for connecting power plants to networks, their dispatch management and options for the construction of photovoltaic systems. The second part is focused on the design of a photovoltaic system with an output power of 250 kWp, including electricity storage. The last part is focused on the creation of implementation project documentation of FVS with battery storage system, which includes technical report, situation drawings, single-pole system diagram, diagrams of AC and DC switchboards, roof drawings, drawings of low-voltage and communication lines and budget.
Design of PV plant with accumulation for commercial building
Jörka, Lukáš ; Morávek, Jan (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This Master´s Thesis deals with the design of photovoltaic power plant with accumulation for commercial building in the city of Holešov. The first part of the thesis describes the requirements for connection and operation of power supplies with inverters according to Annex 4 of the PPDS and the European Commission directive RfG. The second part of the work focuses on the theory of photovoltaic systems, while their basic concepts are introduced, the individual components of photovoltaic systems are described, and eventually, the issue of inverters dimensioning is discussed in more depth. In the practical part of this thesis, the design of photovoltaic power plant with accumulation using the PVSOL program is performed. Within the design, components for PV plant with accumulation are selected, the project documentation of PV plant for building permit is prepared and the energy-economic analysis of the proposed solution is performed.
Methodology and data evaluation of conformance tests of A1 and A2 power generating modules
Bláha, Michal ; Drápela, Jiří (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The introductory part of the diploma thesis contains basic knowledge of the issue of Power Generating Module (particularly local) and a description of individual categories according to the EU Commission Regulation 2016/631, which are connected to the electricity system in the Czechia. In connection with this classification and the assignment of this work, the individual rules for connecting and operating Power Generating Module of categories A1 and A2 are further described. The work also deals with verifying the compliance and conformity of production modules with applicable legislation. The principles of verification of production units follow the newly proposed standard EN 50 549-10. The benefit of the work lies mainly in the preparation for the creation of a certified workplace, which will deal with custom measurement of production units. This preparation is based not only on the created test manual, but on two other important parts, such as the creation of evaluation scripts and the output protocol. The scripts will be used to process the measured data for individual tests and will provide a suitable graphical output of the unit, which will be placed in the output protocol. This protocol will thus be a comprehensive official measurement output of the tested unit.
