Šebela, Miroslav ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
In thesis is according assignment realized PLC (power line carrier communication) network design for remote data collection. To understand problematic of PLC is this technology described little bit in detail. In thesis are mentioned possibilities use broadband and especially narrowband power line carrier communication. Described is also general structure of PLC network for data collection - automatic meter reading. Finally is described realization of PLC network on chosen area included component supplier selection. In thesis is also mentioned problematic of PLC a communication channel included problems with noise and channel impairments. With selected PLC modems was realized and evaluated measurement of communication speed in different environments and with use of different interfaces. Furthermore was measured spectrum of communication signal from which was possible to define signal modulation. In last step were measured impairments in powerline.
Modeling of Medium Access Methods of Power Line Communication
Koutný, Martin ; Orgoň,, Miloš (referee) ; Pospíchal, Ladislav (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
The dissertation thesis is focused on analysis, modeling and optimization of the medium access layer of power line communication. In the first part of the paper, the thesis briefly summarizes a basic information of power line communication. In the next sections, the objectives of the dissertation are placed. A simplification of current models of HomePlug and a optimalization of distribution function in back off procedure are one of the main goals of this work. A detailed analysis of HomePlug technology, which is widespread used in the broadband transmission, follows. The work is focused on analyzing of the MAC layer in this part. The discrete simulation models have been implemented in Matlab. The approximation discrete numerical model has been used for analysis of various distribution functions for HomePlug to optimalize backoff algorithm. The new optimalizations are suitable for large networks. The new approach of MAC modelling is introduced in last part of this work. The new model is not exact as Markov models but it is faster and easier for implementation. The analytical model desribes a system using probabilistic functions.
Methods of measuring bit rates
Franc, Jan ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
Study and basic benchmarking methodology description of network connections based on the IP was the objective of bachelor work. I resulted above all from RFC standards, by which are directed most of Internet protocols. Particular procedures for testing are explained in RFC 2544. On the basis of parameters analysis, I suggested conception and gave shape to web application which allows identify referenced basic transfer parameters of Internet connection (downstream, upstream, latency, scattering of connection speed). Application doesn’t require no add-ons and modules on user side. It is built on server programming language PHP with usage of relational MySQL database, in which are stored data. Client scripting language JavaScript is also used. Application offers measuring of mentioned parameters both to visitors and to registered users. Matter of course is user registration; work with history of carried out measuring, sending private messages between registered users. Above whole application exists administrator account.
The Models of Power Lines for PLC Data Communication Systems
Fajkus, Petr ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Lázničková, Ilona (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is focused on the issue of data communications over power lines. This technology is known as PLC (Power Line Communication). Wider deployment of this technology into practice at present prevents a number of shortcomings. Main problems are disturbance useful signal on power lines, radiation interference, small reach of useful signal and elements of energy network, which affect the transmission. In the analysis of sub-problems, it appears that it is appropriate to have a computer power line model, allowing a computer simulation of data communication over power line. It is necessary to combine two different, conflicting requirements. Power lines are not primarily intended for data communication, and data lines are not designed for the transmission of electricity. Both types of line are described the same primary parameters, but they operate in completely different modes. This thesis examines these modes and possible models of power and data lines in terms of data communication. The main part is devoted to the draft power line model for data communication and computer verification of the functionality of the new proposed model.
Automatic people counting
Szalbot, Michal ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor thesis is utilization of optical sensors for people vehicle counting. This types of sensors were selected - optical barrier, passive infrared sensor, active reflective sensor and ultrasonic sensor for people vehicle counting. The tasks and used sensors are described in introduction. The selected applications available on the market and description of their function are described there too. The solution describes individual type of sensors, their function, used involvement in tests and tests results. The conclusion contains summary of knowledge of sensors, their possibilities and other possible solutions.
Remote data acquisition systems
Svadbík, Vít ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
This work construes usage phone lines, system GSM and GPRS, internet and communication after high - tension lead in systems of remote gathering data. With development automated running shoot up need acquisition actual indications about all sorts of quantity. Acquisition these information often action on big distance. Systems for gathering from extensive region mark like „remote data acquisition systems". In first part of this work is accentuate on possibility usage as above channels at remote deduction gauging arrangement. In second part are mentioned counts real metering carrier rate and noise narrowband communication PLC. At the close is state instance usage some circumscribed ways transmission data for meter reading electrometer in municipality Boršice u Blatnice.
Systems for remote measurement in power engineering
Hudec, Lukáš ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with the measurement and management in power. Provides an introduction to the problems of remote meter reading, management, and describes the current situation in the field of modern technologies Smart metering and Smart grids. It also analyzed the issue of collection of networks and data collection from a large number of meters over a wide area. For the purpose of data transmission are described GPRS, PLC, DSL, ... Further, there are given options to streamline communication. This area is used hierarchical aggregation. Using k-means algorithm is a program designed to calculate the number of concentrators and their location in the group of meters. The finished program is written in Java. It has a graphical interface and shows how the calculation is conducted. To verify the results of the optimization program is given simulation model in OPNET Modeler tool. Audited results are described in the conclusion and can deduce that using the optimization program is to streamline communications.

Mišurec, Jan ; Holík, Milan (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
This work deals with the behavior of the apodized fiber Bragg gratings. The used individual apodized Bragg fiber gratings and mathematical functions for each apodized profiles are described. The work shows the selected apodization waveforms profiles and their step function approximations needed for further simulations.
Implementation of computer models of lines for PLC
Mrákava, Petr ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to become familiar with the different parameters describing the lines, and the possibility of modeling data and power models. The thesis also outlined the difference in the mechanical structure of different types of cables. The practical part focuses only on the power cables and measure their basic parameters. Then is created computer model which describes the behavior of cable lines at higher frequencies than are primarily intended. The final section is an experimental network created by the PLC for remote reading of electricity meters, and it measured different transmission properties.
