Priknerová, Pavla ; Macek, Petr (advisor) ; Biegel, Richard (referee)
This thesis deals with the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Horní Jiřetín, built between 1694 and 1700, after the project of Jean Baptiste Mathey. The thesis draws a comparsion between the church and the group of other sacral structures built on the Duchcov domain for Jan Bedřich of Wallenstein. On the grounds of elaborate analysis it becomes apparent, that Jiřetín church is the finest building in this group and - contrary to existing evaluation among historians of art - that it is one of the remarkable Mathey's works of his late period, which in its quality and complexity isnť far behind his better known masteripieces. This thesis includes also new plan documentation and detailed photographic materiál.

Drápalová, Kristýna ; Macek, Petr (advisor) ; Biegel, Richard (referee)
(in English): Bachelor thesis The Church of the St. John the Baptist in Hořelice and dynamic Baroque in Czech lands deals with the position of this high-quality work of Czech baroque architecture in the context of contemporary architectonic production. The aim of the work, besides making a detailed description of the building, was to decide the question of the autorship of Hořelice's church. Therefore, the chosen method was formal analysis of its architectonic form. Two baroque artists came in consideration - famous Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer and his less known fellow Ferdinand Václav Špaček, who both worked in service of Anne Marie Grand Duchess of Toscany, at whose impuls the church was built. Based on a comparison with works of those two architects, Špaček's autorship clearly seems more likely. In the final part of this work is attached one chapter, dedicated to this not enough noted architect and evaluation of his work.
Counterparty Risk under Basel III
Macek, Petr ; Teplý, Petr (advisor) ; Rippel, Milan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to address the implications of Basel III regulation on counterparty credit risk. We analysed the development of OTC market, we addressed systemic risk and the way how central counterparties could mitigate or spread the contagion among banks. We used simulated data to develop a stress test model to find out the impact of counterparty credit risk on banks' capital requirements, in case the interest rate increased extensively. Six pos- sible scenarios of interest rate levels were developed with ascending order of the IR level. From these scenarios we computed the exposure levels and credit valuation adjustment (CVA) as the market value of counterparty credit risk. We came to the following conclusions: (1) Czech banks have enough capital to withstand any interest rate increase in any scenario. (2) Banks with high expo- sure to derivatives like Bank of America, Citibank and JP Morgan would face severe problems if the interest rate increased. (3) There is no direct correlation between credit valuation adjustment and interest rate, the CVA increases faster with the increase of the interest rate.
