Holubová, Jitka ; Levitová, Andrea (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: Subjective evaluation of pain feeling during therapy by Shockwave Objectives: Objective is to bring brief and compact information concerning the using of the shockwave and to check the therapy effectiveness (changes in evaluation of pain) on diagnose called heel spur using a certain number of clients. Methodes: Experiment was applied. Group of clients (n=30) was randomized into 3 subgroups. The first experimental group (n=10) was affected by therapy in the Czech Republic, the second experimental group (n=10), was affected by the same therapy in Greece. The control group (n=10) was tested by standard therapy method (ultrasound). The shockwave was aplied once a week, for 5 weeks in total, using pressure 1,8 - 4,8 bars. Changes in pain feeling were evaluated by visual-analog scale. Examinations were made before the first application as well as after the last (the fifth) application. Results: Experimental group E1 was improved in avarage by 1,9 ± 0,97 points of the VAS scale. Experimental group E2 was improved in avarage by 4,3 ± 2,15 points by VAS scale. Control group was improved in avarage by 2,6 ± 1,01 points by VAS scale. The results shows that shock wave has positive effect for the diagnose. Key words: Rázová vlna, shock wave, ESWT, léčba bolesti, pain management. 4

The achieved results were divided into particular age categories in the both groups. The statistically significant differences between the two analysed samples were subsequently verified. Results: The mean age of the patients with spondylarthritis ankylopoetica was 51,6±14,9 years, whereas it reached 52,3±15,5 years in the sample of the general population. Heidenreichová, Ivana ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Levitová, Andrea (referee)
6 Abstract Title: Comparison of Movement Activity and Sport between Patients after Resurfacing and Total Hip Replacement Surgery Objectives: To summarize the available information about after-surgery regime and self- sufficiency after total hip replacement. To accent the differences between resurfacing and total hip replacement. To obtain the information about sport behavior and movement activity of patients after resurfacing and total hip surgery using questionnaire survey. To find out if they are able to return back to sport sctivity and how much do the total hip replacement limits them, to find out how the pain influences their movement activity. To compare the movement activity of patients after resurfacing with patients after total hip surgery. Methods: Thesis is worked out using quality assessment of information obtained by empiric way - using questionnaire survey. Results are processed using MS Excel into charts and graphs. Results: The objective of clear justification of advantages of hip resurfacing as a surgery method providing early return to movement activity has not been met. However the results cannot be simply generalized because of limited amount of respondents. Keywords: hip, total joint replacement, movement activity, sport

Methods: The body posture evaluation was performed through an experiment with elements of qualitative and quantitative research. Results: The body posture evaluation was performed using three selected tests: Mathias test, evaluation by Jaros and Lomička and measurement of the cervical and lumbar lordosis. Mathias test showed good posture results in only 14 students (16.9%), 69 students (83.1%) had poor posture. According to Jaroš and Lomíček, the head and neck were found to be the worst scoring areas, while the best scoring area of the body was found to be the chest. In terms of posture, the pretest revealed 27 students (32.6%) to have good posture, 54 students (65%) bad posture and 2 students (2.4%) were found to have very poor posture. The posttest revealed 36 students (43.4%) to have good posture and 47 students (56.6%) poor posture. Very bad posture was not found in posttest. Measurement of cervical lordosis was within the normal range for 10 (12%) students in testing (pretest) and for 12 students (14.5%) in the posttest. Lumbar lordosis testing was also in...

Aim of the thesis: The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the effect of exercise on selected variables of locomotor system function. Methodology: The project was conceived as a case study and it so the participation of 18 girls with visual impairment (mean age 17.5 years). The group was examined using a basic investigation method for evaluating posture, balance and muscular imbalances. The study lasted 6 months and the measurements took place before the beginning, 3 months after the beginning (during which time the girls did not exercise) and following the end of a special three-month exercise program based on remedial physical education methods. Conclusion: The results showed that after the first three months the girls performed worse in most of the parameters under examination, and after a further three-month motor program they performed better in most tests as compared to the second measurement. Between the first and the second measurement, important changes became manifested in the muscle shortening parameter, namely in the flexion of the hip joint (20 % decreased), in the paravertebral muscles (decrease of 17.5 %). As far as balance is concemed, between the first and the second measurement, the improvement percentage...

It was empirical quantitative research, exactly comparative quasiexperiment, where was compared individual groups in between (inter-group) and, moreover, influence of individual motion programs (intra-group). Data gathering was executed twice - at the beginning of quasiexperiment (pre-test) and at the end (3 months after; post-test). Those parameters were examined: Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index for axial system region and expansion of chest, Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis...
