The Academic Cooperation between Charles University in Prague and University of Hamburg during the Period of the So-called Normalization

This master thesis deals with the development of the academic relations between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany during the so-called normalization, so from the beginning of the 1970s to the fall of the so-called Iron Curtain. The main focus lies on the inter-university partnership between Charles University in Prague and the University of Hamburg, which was concluded in Prague in 1980 and is successfully carried out till today. It was the first cooperation agreement Charles University made with a West German university during the period of the cold war. The thesis analyses, in which way both universities approached the partnership and how the cooperation could be put into practice. The main objective of the text is to find out which dynamics the partnership in the observed period gained and if the cooperation even managed to overcome the original expectations of the main actors considering the given conditions within the domestic and international politics. The role of Václav Havel in the Czech-German relations between 1993-1997.

This bachelor thesis deals with the impact of the former Czechoslovak and Czech president Václav Havel on the Czech-German mutual relationship within the examined time period between 1993 and 1997. The main focus lies on Havel's personal initiative, gestures and concrete political steps concerning the improvement of the Czech-German diplomacy. According to the high frequency of his engagement in this specific agenda of the Czech foreign affairs, Havel played an important role in the whole development of the Czech- German relations, occasionally even as a "driving force". Firstly, the historical and political contexts of Havel's position in the Czech-German bilateral diplomacy is depicted, with an emphasis on the negotiations regarding the Czechoslovak-German Treaty on Good- Neighbourliness and Friendly Cooperation from 1992 and the Czech-German Declaration on the Mutual Relations and their Future Development signed in 1997. Semantics of prescriptive discourse and language games

The main theme of this thesis is prescriptive sentences and their usage within language games. At the beginning, the thesis defines the range of analyzed sentences and presents a possible approach to their semantic analysis. Subsequently, the terms "Language Game" and "Score" are introduced and followed by illustrative examples. Moreover, the thesis describes one selected prescriptive language game in detail, analyses and evaluates the presented model. Furthermore, alternative approaches to solving of problems related to analysis of prescriptive language games are also put forward. The final part of this thesis summarizes the perspectives on this field of research.
Transfer of registered office in EU law

This final thesis deals with the issue of transfer of registered office within the EU law. The thesis follows three lines of legal regulations: harmonization of company law, rule-making in the field of European companies and case-law dealing with primary freedom of establishment. The goal of the thesis is to sum up possibilities of the transfer of registered office assured by current legal situation to both companies established according to intrastate legislation and European forms of companies. The thesis also deals with prospects of possible future development.
