Assessment of the corporate governance structure of the selected company

This bachelor's thesis aims to assess the approach of the company Koninklijke Ahold N.V to the compliance with principles of Dutch Corporate Governance Code. Selected problem will be solved by comparing the principles contained in the code with available company's data using methodology of multiple-criteria decision analysis. The outcome of this assessment is that the company has fully complied with the 89% of the principles of the code in 2014. In the end of the practical part of this thesis there will be also formulated some recommendations preventing potential corporate crisis.

The main goal of the Master's thesis is to create complex economic analysis of company Mlýn Havlíčkův Brod, Ltd. for period from 2007 to 2013. This economic analysis will consist of evaluation of economic and financial situation of chosen company, of analysis of its competitive position, its strengths and weaknesses and also of its comparison with few competitors. There will also be analysis of industry, where chosen company operates. The reader of this thesis should gain knowledge about mill products market in Czech Republic as well as about way of working and about results of company Mlýn Havlíčkův Brod. The thesis itself is then divided into two parts, theoretical part, which will summarize all models, methods and indexes used and practical part, which will be focused on economic analysis itself and on interpretation of its results.

Business plan for starting own business in the Russian Federation

The aim of this thesis is to develop a realistic business plan in the Russian Federation. The idea is to rent real estates in the city of Kazan. Location was selected according to the government Project "Innopolis", which foresees the creation of the largest industrial park in the Russian Federation close to the city of Kazan. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the structure and the process of preparing various parts of a business plan. The practical part focuses on development of a particular business plan, evaluates its return, risk and overall strategy of business plan.

Organizational architecture of multinational company

The Bachelor's Thesis ,,Organizational architecture of multinational company" sets the target to analyse organizational structures used in multinational companies at present. In the teoretical section is briefly described development of this subject, basic concepts associated with organizational architecture such as globalization, multinational companies and organizational architecture. I also generalized main characteristics of organizational forms and describe their pros and cons. The practic part is focused on organizational architecture multinational company Erste Group, hence the Czech Savings Bank. My attention was also devoted to the management company because of refinements and explore the effect on the top management of the company. The aim of this work is a comparative analysis of the organizational structure Erste Group and the Czech Savings Bank. I evaluate how I succeeded in this analysis in conclusion.

The following topic of the thesis is to identify national peculiarity of management in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The final part of the thesis is devoted to possible ways of finding solutions and suggestions for more effective managing of the companies of this industry.

Transformation of the Slovak hospitals to organizational form of stock companies

This bachelors thesis describes and compares the organizational forms of subsidized organization and stock company. It clarifies problems of slovak healthcare system. Using information primarily from organizational systems and annual reports, it analyses the organizational structure, capital resources and ownership structure of selected hospitals. The subjects are examined in terms of corporate governance. It assesses management and competences of specific positions. Based on findings from practical part, it proposes solutions in this area and contributes to ongoing debate.

Organizational architecture of multinational company Nike

The Bachelor's Thesis Organizational architecture of multinational company Nike sets the target to find the key factors which influence an organizational architecture of companies. The factors here are connected with the specificity of multinational companies which ask different solutions in the matter of company structure projecting. For defining concrete factors I used the definition of multinational companies. These factors became the identificators of structures which can be theoretically used in this specific kind of institution. Next thing which pays my attention in this Bachelor's Thesis is corporate governance. The reason is, that the specific kind of model influences the structure of top management in a specific way. After that I have applied all mentioned parts on Nike company. The degree of consensus of scientific assumption with in practice used methods I discussed in the last part of this Bachelor's Thesis.

Analysis of the virtual world Second Life

This thesis focuses on virtual world Second Life and its creator company Linden Lab. The theoretical part introduces elements of web, social networks and virtual worlds in general. The practical part of the thesis presents Second Life in detail, describes the possibilities for individuals and real-life institutions, together with the present achievements in individual fields. The company Linden Lab is presented in a separate chapter and its present income is estimated and then predicted from statistics of Second Life. The final chapter summarizes the potential barriers to further growth.

Hodnocení kvality business škol - konfrontace existujících metodologií a názoru zainteresovaných stran

This paper elaborates on the issues arising during evaluation of quality in tertiary education, specifically in the area of business schools. It provides an overview of theoretical approaches to quality and its measurement, and analyzes current methodologies in quality evaluation of business schools. Part of the thesis consists of results from an inquiry among academics from 4 departments of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Economics, Prague, and students of the CEMS International Management program. The results provide a comparison of current practices and stakeholder views, and shows whether these two are in alignment or contradiction.
