Energy transfer and hydrophobic domains in colloidal systems
Kučerová, Petra ; Čeppan, Michal (referee) ; Pekař, Miloslav (advisor)
In this thesis resonance energy transfer between perylene and fluorescein in tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide (TTAB) solution was studied. The influence of addition of native or modified sodium hyaluronate on resonance energy transfer was also investigated. The addition of native sodium hyaluronate supports energy transfer at lower fluorescein concentrations and the addition of modified sodium hyaluronate influences the maximal value of energy transfer effectivity. Strong influence on the critical micelle concentration (CMC) values with the addition of sodium hyaluronate during CMC of TTAB determination was investigated. The data indicates not only micelles formation, but also formation of aggregates of sodium hyaluronate with TTAB. Aggregation numbers of TTAB with addition of native and modified sodium hyaluronate by the quenching of pyrene by cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) was investigated. The addition of sodium hyaluronate into the solution of TTAB changes the average mean aggregation number. Solute exchange between micelles of TTAB and the influence of addition of modified sodium hyaluronate on this exchange was also investigated. No solute exchange between micelles in TTAB and in TTAB with added modified sodium hyaluronate was discovered during this experiment.
Mobile houses for emergency
Kučerová, Petra ; Selcová, Lubica (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Koutný, Jan (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (advisor)
The aim of the dissertation is to present the issue of post-catastrophic reconstruction of and and dwellings with focus on temporary forms of housing. Given the complexity of the topic, various aspects are presented, from mobile houses, the basics of environmentalism and foreign aid through temporary post-catastrophic dwellings and constructions to assessment databases of temporary post-catastrophic constructions. Observation is focused mainly on constructions and shelters built shortly after the catastrophe. Based on the study of manuals, directives, post-catastrophic reports and analyses of constructions for emergency situations, a hypothesis was created that determines the factors for the success of mobile houses in post-catastrophic conditions. The crucial factors are: transportability, efficiency, versatility, adaptability to the place of catastrophe and development in time. The hypothesis was verified on a sample of 17 selected mobile houses and on student´s works. The contribution of this dissertation is global evaluation of the issue of post-catastrophic reconstruction from several points of view, formulation of three areas of current mobile and basic types of transitional shelters, the description of post-disaster reconstruction of land and dwellings.

Knowledge of kidney function and disease in upper elementary school pupils of selected elementary schools
Kučerová, Petra ; Hanušová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Váchová, Alena (referee)
The dissertation entitled Knowledge of kidney function and disease in upper elementary school pupils of selected elementary schools focuses on what knowledge of kidneys and kidney disease among pupils of selected elementary schools. The theoretical part of the dissertation focuses on the description of the structure and function of the kidneys, kidney diseases and their treatment options, as well as the development of dialysis treatment since 2015 and assumptions about the success of the treatment. Importantly, it examines the Framework Educational Programme for elementary education, where the focus is on areas related to the topic of kidneys and their health. The practical part consists of an analysis of the answers of selected elementary school students to the questions in a questionnaire which contains questions focused on knowledge about kidney structure and function, possible risks to kidney health, the influence of diet and drinking habits on kidney health, and about disease prevention. Backpack, hiking boots and mascara: Analysis of women independent travelling from the perspective of anthropology of tourism
Kučerová, Petra ; Ezzeddine, Petra (advisor) ; Halbich, Marek (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the gender aspects of women travelling and experience of women travellers, who set out to the non-Europe destinations on their own. The thesis is based on in-depth interviews with women travellers and analyze how these journeys are important to them. The thesis tries to point out that women's solo travelling directly effects their biography as well as career and status of these female travellers. Women independent travelling is introduced as the dynamic process, by means of which they acquire or verify the gender power and abilities, applicable to their personal life and work. Using the concepts of feminist theories implemented on women's travelling, I try to show that this type of travelling is affected by history and prefers male travelling, which displaces the individual women's travelling on the edge of the social and scientific interest. This thesis is based on the anthropology of tourism, particularly on the study of backpacking and set the experience of the woman traveller in the frame of the rites of passage. Moreover the thesis contains the analysis of the public and media discourse, focused on the real case of two young women kidnapped in Pakistan. Keywords: anthropology of tourism, women independent travellers, solo travelling, backpacking,...
