KOLAŘÍK, Petr
This diploma thesis deals with the development of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia during the years 1921-1925, its work in the party-political system of the first Czechoslovak Republic and the elections to the National Assembly, which took place in November 1925, in which it measured forces and popularity against other political parties. This was the first parliamentary election for the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia since its inception. Despite this, it was a huge success, gaining almost one million electoral votes, making it the second strongest party in the whole Czechoslovakia. Greater attention is paid to the internal party disputes that accompanied the party during its development throughout almost all of the 1920s, the Communist Party's attitudes towards the state regime, the methods of spreading Marxist-Leninist ideology during the election campaign and the election results from a communist point of view.
Environmental impacts of transport modes
Cepník, Adam ; Matějček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kolařík, Petr (referee)
Environmental impacts of transport are currently often discussed, especially in relation to the so-called flygskam, which is a trend encouraging voluntary refusal of using air transport because of its environmental impacts. It is the target of this thesis to compare greenhouse gas emissions produced by various means of transport in three model situations from daily life. The model situations are commute to school or work, trip abroad on land and a transoceanic trip. Algorithms used to calculate the emissions in the individual situations are also used to construct an interactive emission calculator in Microsoft Excel environment. Key words: greenhouse gas emissions, personal transport, calculator, flygskam, comparison

Fuková, Jana ; Čermák, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kolařík, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on impacts of Vaclav Havel Airport on the surrounding municipalities. It is a very up-to-date topic, because air transport is used by more and more people. That increases the burden on the areas adjacent to the airport. The theoretical part of this thesis starts with short introduction of NIMBY, it provides the most important informations about Vaclav Havel Airport and summarizes negative impacts on the surroundings. It also gives informations about future expansion of the airport in form of parallel runway and public attitude to this planned construction. Subsequently the cooperation of the airport with the surrounding municipalities and parts of Prague is described. The practical part was processed on the basis of data from the questionaire survey. The aim was to get opinions from residents around the airport, what they consider as advantages and disadvantages of living in this area, whether they are informed about the airport cooperation with the place where they live and finally their attitude to the airport expansion with the new runway. Key words: air transport, negative impacts, noise, municipality, parallel runway
Soil archives of chernozems

Soil archives provide valuable information on the past of the environment, in particular vegetation history (Costantini 2018). The aim of this thesis is study the feasibility of using the modern method of near-infrared spectroscopy to study the vegetation history of chernozems, using previously collected databases (Vysloužilová et al. 2015) to extract information from new sites along the grassland-woodland boundary in Minnesota, USA. The results are then analyzed and compared to known information and the results of more traditional approaches.

Recent shifts of alpine treeline ecotone in temperate and boreal part of Northern Hemisphere
Kolařík, Petr ; Treml, Václav (advisor) ; Romportl, Dušan (referee)
Treeline advance is often cited as one of the effects of the global climate change, especially the rise of mean temperatures. However, treeline dynamics is a complex issue. This thesis aims to describe factors that determine the position and dynamics of the alpine treeline and create an overview of treeline dynamics in the temperate and boreal parts of the Northern Hemisphere outside of Europe. A further goal is to create a database of treeline advance at locations in this region and then analyze this database. Of the 20 studied locations, 65 % showed treeline advance while treeline receded at only two locations. The highest rate of advance was recorded in the Rocky Mountains of North Americe, up to 1.59 m/yr. The highest rate of recession was recorded in the San Francisco Peaks, also in North America, where a recession of 1.21 m/yr was recorded. A statistical analysys showed no significant correlation between temperature trends and treeline advance. Locations that had undrgone a change in land use showed both the highest rate of advance and recession. It appears that anthrpogenic activity is an importnant factor influencing the dynamics of alpine treelines.
