The presented bachelor thesis is focused on the design of cast-iron hole punch. This thesis deals with an analysis of current and historical products, basic technical characteristics and then describes the proposed design solution. The aim of this work is to increase the aesthetics and ergonomics of the hole punch’s handrail with the use of interesting material and to improve functionality of the whole product.

Design of VTOL Aircraft

This bachelor thesis deals with a conceptual vision of VTOL aircraft design as a possible future mode of transportation. The thesis includes an analysis of currently developed machines in this category as well as a brief technical overview of the aircraft. The aim of the thesis is the design concept of a VTOL aircraft for low emission mass passenger transport. The proposed aircraft has a blended-wing configuration with a capacity of 16 passengers. The environmentally friendly fuel for emission-free operation is hydrogen gas providing a range of over 2000 km. The innovative solution of incorporating a jet propulsion system into the aircraft's construction results in a clean shape with the form of one large wing that gives the aircraft a futuristic aerodynamic appearance. Another interesting solution is the boarding of the aircraft in the form of large doors on the sides of the aircraft, which allows for a reduction in the size and thus drag of the aircraft. The resulting design not only delivers a sleek, futuristically shaped aircraft, but also the way of the vertical take-off and landing together with proposed boarding, may inspire future generations of aircraft.

This bachelor‘s thesis concerns the design of a handheld vacuum cleaner for households. The text describes the process of design development, starting with an analysis of the history of vacuum cleaners and contemporary trends in their design, and continuing with the technical requirements and the description of the design process itself. The last part of the work contains detailed description of all the aspects of the final design including additional visual documentation.

Presented thesis deals with the design of floor luminaire. It contains the selection of illuminating light and materials. I sought to bring something unique, which causes pleasure to users. The result is the elegant floor lam. It consists of pedestal and three tubing with illuminating lights. The LED diode was used as the illuminating light. In this work you can find a progression and contemporary posture of interior light. It describes also progression and description of design light.

This thesis explores narrow category of railroad universal maintenance vehicles, or draisines. It focuses specifically on the long tradition of czech models. The goal of the work is to take this analysis, and use this knowledge to synthesise a new draisine design, which will bring a set of specific advantages, especially from the point of aesthetics and user comfort.

The topic of this thesis is creating a design of electric snowmobile considering technical, ergonomic and aesthetic requirements of this product. Based on marketing, technical and design analysis a design of electric snowmobile of the near future (5-10 years) is created. Built on knowledge of present models, it develops further certain ergonomic, design and other features. Thesis is focused mainly on the design of snowmobile with possibility of utility use for ski resorts and similar.

The goal of this work was to combine modern functional and technological elements with an innovative visual appearance while using high quality materials. Emphasis was given to the simplicity, comfort, and especially safety of the vessel control and convenience for the passengers.
